Hi-Po Posted Friday at 11:31 PM Posted Friday at 11:31 PM I am in the process of building a '32 Ford coupe and would like to try my hand at chopping the top. I am sure that this subject has been discussed here before but I tried searching the forum for information and came up empty - or I overlooked something. Can someone direct me to a tutorial or article on the subject? Or just give me some helpful advise on how to proceed. TIA Terry
NOBLNG Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago That about covers everything. The only thing I did different the second time I chopped one was to cut the entire A-pillar out and then shorten it to re-install. 1
bobss396 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I did mine the hard way. I cut out the roof insert first thing. Marked my cuts and wound up with 5 pieces. I removed the B pillar as a T section, into the side windows, split the front into 2 parts. I had to add filler strips at almost every cut. But it came out well. I was supposed to do the chop and lend it to Norm Veber to make a master. This was 15 years ago and I hope Norm gave up waiting. 1

Hi-Po Posted 10 hours ago Author Posted 10 hours ago Thanks to everyone that replied to my post. You guys are the best! That is exactly the info that I was needing. Now where did I place that razor saw? Thanks again, Terry 1
iBorg Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I tried KiT Karson stair step method. It gave a much better and stronger result than any other method I've tried. I did it with a sedan and the result was first class. 1 1
