It's not perfect and I knew it wouldn't be, but I wanted to put this truck on my shelf for a long time! I built it to look as much like the box art as possible and never had a single original part to start with. I want to thank Dave Fletcher for the kit to start with (Early Iron Issue) , Craig Turner for the Replicas and Miniatures Scuba gear and Dave Neighbors for the front rims. I also want to thank everyone who has helped me with hints or ideas along the way. I keep bouncing back and forth between the completed model and the box art and they look darn near identical to these eyes! Great, clean, meticulous build. Not just 'cause it's a superb box art replica but 'cause it's got plenty of character as a neat little rod. Two thumbs up!

RodBurNeR Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 Thanks everyone! To answer a couple questions.... The paint is GM Engine Blue by Dupli Color. In person it's very very close to the color the "old" kit was molded in. I used this kit to start with and had to find a bunch of the "right" parts from various other kits and friends.
