Matt LeBlanc Posted July 5, 2009 Posted July 5, 2009 I got this from TxRat.We were trying to identify it.It is around 1/20.Some what crude. It may have been motorized.Looks like the AMT kit of the Iron Horse mustang. Thanks Matt
Dragline Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Looks kinda like a half baked Mad Max Interceptor ripoff to my eyes. But they aren't very sharp either [my eyes]. Bob F
Guest Mustang3.8 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 It looks like customized '73 Mustang. Whatever it is, it's cool.
MrObsessive Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Looks a lot like this......................... I just can't remember what Ford called this one though.....................
Dingo Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 MrObsessive, I think Ford called it a mess but seriously that is one coockoo car and who would be dumb enough to chop a Mustang and custum the rest of the body. Dingo
Joe Handley Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I'm digging the chop, but those fugly sidewindows and grill have to go
george 53 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Man I'm glad you said somethin Bill. It DOES look like the AMT kit called the Mach One, but the front end looks different. More like the IMC Mustang model. The one in question looks like an import kit.

MrObsessive Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 The one in question looks like an import kit. I was thinking that too George with it being motorized and all. Also the AMT and IMC kits didn't have opening doors..............(well the IMC kit MAY have......). The odd scale is a giveaway too that it might be an import.
george 53 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 That what I thunk too. Plus the fact I NEVER seen one, an I seen ALOT of weird sh8t!
diymirage Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 can i see a shot of the bottom of the car ? i mean, most if not all manufactures will put their name, the model and the year represented right there
Matt LeBlanc Posted July 6, 2009 Author Posted July 6, 2009 Here is a shot of the bottom. No name that i can find. Thanks fo the help. Matt
george 53 Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Just ventureing a guess, but from the looks of the chassis, bein equipped for a motor, could it be an old Otaki kit, or possibly an Arrii kit?
Harold Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 That was a Ford show car from 1968 called the Mach I (now you know where the name came from for the '69). I like the front- very reminiscent of the '63 Mustang II.
sfhess Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 I liked the first version of the Mach I better. The front looked more like a normal 67 or 68 Mustang, but it had oval headlights. There was an AMT kit of the first mach, very hard to find these days. I have a built one somewhere.
