Corvette.Jeff Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I'm talking about the emblem on the back of the bumper. (right above the license plate) I was thinking about painting it red, what do ya'll think?
Chuck Most Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I say get some bacon- why bother with the badge? I think most people with at least a room-temp IQ will know it's a 'Vette!
elan Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) I like the term"ricey mods". I have a corvette and it's a driver, not a show car. I tend to agree with the idea "if it don't make it faster, it's a waste of money". There are a lot of 'gimmicky' things out there for cars, corvettes in particular, remember the hot pink wiper blades!!!! Edited July 23, 2009 by elan
Corvette.Jeff Posted July 23, 2009 Author Posted July 23, 2009 Nah guy's im not trying to "rice it out" im just trying to make it look a little better, and to me it would look pretty cool, a nice dark red polished to a shine! I like the sound of those pink windshield wipers!!! maybe its just my infatuation with the whole 80's bmx thing???lol When i think of that "chrome" spray paint, it makes me think of c4 corvette fender guards!
Abell82 Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 (edited) What does get some bacon mean exactly? I say just pull the dang thing off, and go for the clean look, assuming there are no holes beneath the emblem. If there are holes, then get some clean Chevette emblems off Ebay, or ?? and replace them. Edited July 23, 2009 by Abell82
RJWood Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Its your car, do it the way you like. You gotta please yourself. But if you paint it, you might want matching wheel covers to go along with it. Personally, a BLT would taste great right about now.

slant6 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 I work on "modded" cars all week and most of them are pathetic. Dont paint the vette emblem red!!!! If your gonna paint it keep it subtle. I say remove it altogether, everyone knows thats a vette, and if they dont they have no business being around cars.
cruz Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Take off the emblem and put a nice big rainbow sticker on that sucker!!!!
Corvette.Jeff Posted July 24, 2009 Author Posted July 24, 2009 One reason i want to paint it is, it used to be silver from the factory, but after 25 years she's starting to fade a bit i think the red would set it off really great, plus i might end up getting my lights blacked out. I put the bacon there because i was hungry
RodneyBad Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 (edited) Take it Off. (if there are no holes) Less is more. Everybody knows what a Vette is. Red wouldn't look to bad tho. Yes, It is on a Bimmer and I took the pic Edited July 24, 2009 by Zukiholic
Abell82 Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Needs that 'Type-R' emblem right next to the Chevette Chevette "Type R" ...ROFLMAO!!
Joe Handley Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Why not, I've seen a Ford Festiva R/T with VTEC and a Grand Caravan Sport Si
roadhawg Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Bacon. Lol! Made me think of Burgess Merideth. "I wake up and have a plate of bacon. Then, for lunch I have bacon. Then for a midday snack, bacon! Then I usually drink my dinner. " BTW....put the paint down and step away from the emblem.
