Very Cool stuff for sure! I just got the Mercedes myself. You are right, gorgeous kit. A bit on the fragile side but should look splendid when finished.

I plan on building it and the SLR as a duo.

About that Lindberg D-type, is that a recent kit or an old out of production kit?

Mine is a motorized one from 1976. The only parts I'll be using are the top half of the body and the seat. The rest will come from the Revell SS.

Nice stuff, Dave.

I have the GTB, and other than the tires it's a neat kit.

I must have had my head in the sand, when did the Revell

D Jag come out?

O well, another kit to add to my want list!

The ROG Jag is not a D type, but an SS, which was a roadgoing version of the car.

I saw that, but it didn't dawn on my stupid fingers.

Then I was too lazy to edit my post. B)

Since it is the SS verison, it got bumped up to

"must have" status.

Thanks.

Great score Dave!!

You got the first issue of the XKSS........there was a reissue of that one in green a few years ago as I've got two of 'em (They're NOT for sale fellas! ;))

If you build that Jag, drop me a line as there are some pitfalls to look out for.........The '55 D-Type I built you all have seen on this forum came from that kit.

................and now I'm kinda jealous as you've got one of my holy grails........the Ferrari 275 N.A.R.T. Spyder!! :D The Mercedes is a beautiful kit also------I have the open 300 SLR version of that car.

Have fun building 'em!

Thanks Bill ;) .

That would be a big help  .

I'll definetly get in touch with you about the "D" build. Any help greatly appreciated - dave
