Hawk312 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I know this kit is the kit everyone loves to hate, but I really like building it, and it looks pretty convincing in real life, IMO. I hope to build a couple more of these if get the chance.
93Z34 Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 WOW!!!!!! That car looks great! What color green is that? Your finish looks absolutely stunning to say the least! I have about a dozen AAR kits in my collection now and, like you, think they build up nicely. I can get past the issues of the kit simply because I love Mopars and this kit fills a big void in the age of Mopar Muscle from the early 70's. Your work is simply stunning and your cars are truly the epitomy of "eye candy". Keep up the fantastic work!!!!!!
Foxer Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I could never hate something as good looking as this build! That engine bay really looks good.
camaroman Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Build job on this kit...again a great color choice. You have a good eye for what will compliment the car... Nice change of pace from the High Impact colors.....
Hawk312 Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 Thanks everyone. Sorry, I forget the name of the color. I do know that it was Dupli Color touch up paint from a can though, with DupliColor clear.
cruz Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 You made an incorrect kit look, well, correct!! Too bad Revell messed these kits up with those awful lines but no doubt you did a terrific job....
george 53 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Wow, I gotta agree with Dave, The color MUST hide the missperportions of the kit, caz you made yours look REALLY good! It came out VERY nice!!!
MADmodelDOCTOR Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Looks awful nice from here. Great job! later,
DumpyDan Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Wow! That is really nice, best looking one I've seen.
Dragline Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I have this kit on my shelf so I broke it out and compared to pix I have in the many Muscle Car monthly mags I have. It is fairly wrong, yet like the others have said you nailed it. I think it's the hood being blacked out that helps quite a bit. Also the strobe is taking away from the line to draw you to it. As a result the lines are less harsh and appear downright correct. The color is superb and I have never seen it on that body before. That helps as well. Since we are used to the bright knockout colors many usually paint these kits in. I also say WELL DONE..... Bob F
694406bblRR Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 great job on the AAR cuda i have one I like the kit and I would build it again if i could
