Jim, ya gonna use the 65 Lincoln body, or you gonna use sumpthin else? I would think the interior of that rascal would fit other years of Lincoln's. It'd be cool to see a REAL Lincoln Wagon! I don't ever remember ever seein one even as a Fo.Mo.Co. showcar! ;):lol:

Looks like it should be pretty interesting when you're done, can't wait!

Excuse the brain fart, was that one of the kits you got from me by chance? I can't remember which ones I sent you right now

The first factory-issue Lincoln of any kind you could consider a wagon (hearses excluded of course) was the '98 Navigator. (Why there's no Navigator kit out there I cannot imagine.) I don't recall ever seeing a factory prototype Lincoln wagon, either. You could get a Cadillac wagon, but I think that was an aftermarket deal. Heck, in high school I thought about buying my buddy's '85 Country Squire and hanging some Town Car sheetmetal off it and doing up my own Town Wagon!

Funny- there was never a Lincoln wagon concept, but I do remember seeing a full-scale 4-door Mustang clay model  !

I love seeing the '65 kit built up, as the '61-'67 Connies are some of my all-time faves. I haven't seen the wagon version built up in a while... and this would be the first time I've seen a purple one, with a color-matched interior, no less!

The '65 Connie had a station wagon option with a big semi-circle clear roof insert.

Chuck I gotta Lincoln Navigator. It's 24th scale, die cast an pre-painted! It's a NICE model an it LOOKS like a Lincoln Navigator!I'm not REAL sure, but I THINK it was marketed as a Testors Quik Builder kit. It's a VERY nice kit an pretty detailed for a die cast. I've had it for about 5 yrs and other than when I bought mine at the Deeetroit Auto-Rama, I've NEVER seen another one. But they're out there!:lol:

I used the '65 Lincoln kit that I got from Joe Handley. Spyder posted a pic of the box. Got it all painted and mostly put together so I should be able to post under glass in a couple of days. Found out last night I have a problem with zone 2 of my sprinkler system. Gotta fix that first.

I believe Maisto did a 1/24 diecast of one, too, but it was kind of toyish in execution. I had one, I think I traded it for some kits. OR a case of Dr.Pepper. Or was it Faygo Moon Mist... I don't remember.

And Spyder- I'm well aware of the '65 Connie kit with the optional wagon version. It's one of my ALL TIME favorite kits. I've got... jeesh... forty? Fifty of them squirreled away? I meant I've never seen a 1/1 scale Lincoln wagon. Now that I think of it, I don't even see the kit built as the wagon too often, even though it comes with that halfway decent woodgrain decal!

Though personally I could do without the big bubble window in the roof, it still builds into a nice phanom Lincoln wagon!
