MADmodelDOCTOR Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Great subject and great job!! Nice replica. Later,
Bowtienutz Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 very cool give some details of what you did to build it ? is that the monogram T Top camaro? what chassis did you use and what mods to make it fit?
93Z34 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 That is a great replica of Lee's car! You did a fantastic job on that Camaro! Keep up the great work! It's too bad Monogram didn't put out more of the Pro Stock kits back in the 80's. They were awesome kits with the potential for outstanding detailing! You should be proud of that car!!!
Reeves Racing Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Thank you for all the support. I have about 7 drag cars that I can post. I have three in the WIP stage right now. Sox and Martins 71 'cuda, Grumpy's 73 Vega, and a Beretta that is going to be a JEGS sponsered car to go with my Summit Firebird. The donor kit for the body was the MPC Z28 without T Tops. I had to remove the factory hood scoop and the side vents and then enlarge the wheel wells. The chassis didn't take a lot to make it fit. The wheel base was spot on so that made it pretty easy. Here are some pictures.
Smart-Resins Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 excellent job there. Nice car to model too! Great kit bash! Jody
3men2s Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 (edited) my favorite builds are PRO STOCKS and when you do them right THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX you really can do an acurate piece. and you just did that.
