caine440 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I hope he does re-post as this car is just incredible. The photos in the under glass section were simply amazing. I was going to show it to my wife but it was deleted. I noticed a new member screen name lugnuts left some odd posts in different areas and they have been deleted also. I hope to see this photos of build again.
roadhawg Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I remember Jeff having troubles here before, with someone tampering with/deleting his posts, about two years ago. I wonder if this is the same? How is it possible to delete someone elses post?
caine440 Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I am sorry to hear that. Your build is true eye candy. Well Done!
mountaindewd Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 The thread was terminated because of trolling.... What is trolling?
roadhawg Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Are you serious?... I guess that makes two of us.......what is trolling?
Harry P. Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 "Trolling" is when someone posts stuff that's either intentionally off the subject, or posts something that's meant to get a rise out of people and cause a disruption... in general, when someone tries to horn their way into another person's thread for the purpose of disrupting it.

Thanks for explaining that Harry. I had heard the term before but didn't know exactly what it was......unless we're talking about fishin'.
Scott Colmer Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 (edited) "Like Les and Tommy, I had no idea what trolling was. I hate it when people do this B.S. to other peoples posts. I don't know what happened in Jeff's case, but I especially hate it when someone posts a pic of their build on someone else's thread. It's like they see that person getting comments on their build and feel the need to post theirs in the thread also to see if they can get some comments too. That B.S. runs rampant on SA's board ( especially with a couple of members )and very seldom here until recently. I just saw it here the other day on a thread about a '32 Vicky. Totally uncalled for and rude!!" 99GT I think you are referring to a term called hijacking - Posting your stuff to show up another. I may have been guilty of this myself, but not intentionally. My thoughts were "Hey that's really cool. I have something I did that is similar. Take a look" It's was like sharing with a peer. So far, I have not caused anyone to get mad (that I know of), but it's worth considering. On another note, congrats on getting your Fairlane in print. Great build! I was also liking the Christine. Fun to see one of those totally done up nice. Scott Edited October 30, 2009 by Scott Colmer
curt raitz Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Geez, ya had me goin' there..."trolling" was sumthin' my buddies and I did many years ago at the local clubs and bars...the focus of our attention being the fairer sex thanx for updating those of us not lingo savoy regarding forum terms and such Some of the texting acronyms used on the forum stump me as well not a big "texter", just do it to communicate with my daughters...won't answer their cellphones, that's another issue time to get back to the bench and play with plastic...
Jon Cole Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Jeff- Your build of the Christine Pro Mod was tops! I wasn't aware that you had an issue with someone out there. FWIW, I did save your pics to my Fotki page. If you cannot take new pics, I can always post or link for you, but only with your permission.
