JayC Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Great collection of Jeeps. I really like the lawn mowers! Are they scratchbuilt?
Terry Jessee Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 Great collection of Jeeps. I really like the lawn mowers! Are they scratchbuilt? No, the rider is the Wheelhorse garden tractor from the MPC Indy turbine car kit. The mower deck was thermoformed, then little details added with wire, pins, and plastic rod. The push mower is a Christmas tree ornament, I think. Can't remember where that came from. Terry
Harry P. Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 Those are all really cool. I love the lawn truck with all the stuff in back.
vizio93 Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 I'm gonna have to get one of those lawn mowers. Nice Jeeps !!!
oldscool Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Those are nice Jeeps and lawn mowers. I like the military version too - nice weathering. oldscool

Chuck Most Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I'd really like to see the AMT 'Hogan's Heroes' Jeep in the first photo reissued... or is that the Italeri kit? Either way!

Greg Cullinan Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Chuck,I see the Hogans jeep for sale on Amazon for under twenty bucks. I'm on my blackberry now but will look for a link when I get home. Terry, awesome collection of jeeps. I'm a city boy so I don't get the mower thing. Well I hate grass and I guess mowers kill grass so there cool with me. Lol. The mowers do really add to your build.
Harold Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Great work, Terry. Your weathering never ceases to amaze me . I really like the Civil Defense wagon ("now kids, if there's an atomic blast, hide under your desks....").
Terry Jessee Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 I'd really like to see the AMT 'Hogan's Heroes' Jeep in the first photo reissued... or is that the Italeri kit? Either way! That's an Italeri Jeep. Fujimi or Hasegawa has one out now that is very good. One version even comes with a little two-wheel trailer. Terry
Roadkill2525 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Is the Toyota FJ40 in pic three a Fujimi kit?
Terry Jessee Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Is the Toyota FJ40 in pic three a Fujimi kit? No, it's an old diecast--I think it's either Burago or Polistil from Italy. I used wheels and tires from the parts box. I think the hubcaps are from a Dodge Monaco. I stripped it and repainted it, too. Terry
