diymirage Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 Big changes since the last update. I slung some mud for the first time today! -Front bumper delete -Rear bumper delete -Front valance molded in -Rear valance molded in -Mailbox was lifted up to clear blower -Shaved door handles ( to create the look of fiberglass doors -Shaved side markers -Smoothed license plate bracket Here it is before the hardcore bodywork started and I was test-fitting the body... and after the shaving and molding. I'm still not sure if I'm going to "primer" the front valance or not... I still plan on adding some sort of duck tail spoiler... Opinions? looking good i likes the stance with the scoops on the side winders i would suggest slapping some rear louvers on that baby as well as a ducktail or better yet...get a whale tail
Smart-Resins Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 allright, as long as there is plenty of building left ill take the didge Thank you! LOL. Now to see if zI can finish either in time? LOL. Jody

kyledr330 Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 (edited) I have a small update on my 69' Super Bee. Chassis is now done, complete with brake lines and a heat shield for the exhaust. Edited December 23, 2009 by kyledr330
Smart-Resins Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Quick update. Got the interior painted on the didge. Now to do some detail painting and flocking. Trying to decide wether to add red or not? The Camaro is in first primer. Next will be white primer. Its chassis is painted black. Now to mask it off and do the sub frame and fuel tank. Thanks. Jody
Bruno Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Bruno, Great job with the BMF, wanna do mine on my car?...lol... nice job with the letters on the tires, what did you use to paint them with? I used a brand new BMF sheet and this time it was way easier than before. My old BMF sheet was bad, I threw it in the garbage right after I finished BMFing the AMX. For the tires I used a Trimbrite tire lettermate pen I got at Canadian Tire store. It's a bit tricky at first, I used some old tires to practice before painting those tires. It does a great job. BTW, your Superbee's chassis looks awesome. Nice detail, that Superbee will look great!

diymirage Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 i guess i will join in with a 70's GSX that makes you the 34th person in on this build and the first with a buick
charlie8575 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 A small but important victory... I found my missing shock absorber! It's back in the box. I won't be doing much of anything this week...packing for a move. I'll be restarting in a couple of weeks, I hope. Charlie Larkin
Jared Roach Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Yea I'm just letting you know I'm talking a break from the 70 super bee, seeing since we got till the summer, so yea, I haven't even worked on it lately anyways, I'm still in, but need to refresh my self with some other projects.
Captain Obvious Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) A bit of actual progress! I'm changing direction on this one a bit...I'm going with the kit steelies and dog dishes, with whitewalls from my spare decal sheets. Going for more of a sleeper look, but it'll still have the 427, 4-speed, and headers leading to short exhaust dumps. Interior is going to be a silver-blue color, with dark blue flocking on the floors. Edited December 27, 2009 by Captain Obvious
