Sixties Sam
Here's what I got done this year. I'm proud of them since I had only built about 6 model cars in the last 30 years! !956 Ford Crown Vic. This was an eBay beater I rescued. 40 Ford Coupe originally built by me circa 1962. Rebuilt & painted this year. 1953 Ford pickup, also a 1962 build redone this year. Inset in photo shows the original. This Mustang was built as a gift to my son. It's a replica of his 2008, although I used a Revell 2006 kit. PT Cruiser is a replica of my real one, shown here towing a model of my real teardrop trailer. I didn't make the doll in the background! This Model T woody is a parts box kluge just for fun. Yeah, I know - flatheads had headers with 3 pipes, not 4. I used what I had available. 34 Ford coupe. This was half of a double kit by Revell. A 27 T Touring is the other half. Absolute POS kit! Fragile, fiddly, and nothing fit. Looks out of scale, too. At least I finished it! My scratch built 1/12 scale teardrop trailer, a companion to a 57 Chevy on my campground diorama. This was so different and just fun to build! That's all for this year. Randy Kern
Those are all great, Sam. That 1/12 trailer is really cool. Nice to see them all again!
charlie8575
Very nice work, Sam. That '56 Ford is something else, as are both of your teardrops. Charlie Larkin
oldscool
They all look great to me. That 53 Ford pickup is a classic and I have seen more of them built using that custom grille than the stock grille. oldscool - nightstalker
Jason Vandergriff
All of them look awesome. The 53 ford is sharp for sure.
Bernard Kron
Great '09 "comeback". Nice variety of builds. My faves are the Crown Vic, The '34 Coupe and the trailer.
Sixties Sam
Thanks for the great compliments, guys! I don't take my models to the level that some of you guys do, but I have fun. I forgot one for 2009. I found this crappy looking 66 Riviera in a box in my house last summer - forgot I had it. I rebuilt and repainted it to look slightly less crappy. Not the best, but it was fun to rescue it!
kanikanihia
Hello there! Great job on all the models, especially the teardrop trailer!! I`ve been looking for a teardrop kit for 1/12th scale but sadly,no kits.Would you consider sending directions to your teardrop for a fee? I would gladly pay for it.I really,REALLY want a teardrop to have next to my 1/12th scale dollhouse.Whatever you decide, great job. Thanks so much for posting the pics.
