The original Revell '64 Ford T-Bolt kits (Gas Rhonda and Russ Davis Ford) have a nice set of steel wheels. They are not factory correct for an A12 car, or any Mopar for that matter, but they do have good detail. I used two sets of them, painted black, along with the Goodyear Steel Belted Radial tires when I built an A12 Super Bee years ago from the Monogram kit:

IIRC, the front and rear wheels in the T-bolt kits are different diameters, which is why I needed two sets of rear wheels.

Check with The Modelhaus, they have many stock wheels and could possibly have a set that is exact or close to what you are looking for without having to buy 2 kits just for the wheels. IIRC, most of their resin wheel sets are around $5.00, considerably cheaper than the current Revell '64 Ford Fairlane kit!

To be honest with you, I'm PRETTY sure you COULD mount Ford wheels on a Mopar back then ( I think the bolt pattern was the same) so use Ford wheels on one wouldn't be that far off.biggrin.gif

those Wheels Look to have the domed style center section. You might try the Wheels from the AMT 49 Ford Coupe Or the AMT 51 Chevrolet kits.

No body is going to get out their Verne Caliper to measure the bolt pattern on a scale model. :)

The Revell/Monogram 70 Road runner MIGHT have what you need. I dont know if the poverty caps are seperate parts or not.

The R-M '70 Roadrunner, GTX, and Superbird have the cop wheels, the closest wheel to the A12 is from the R-M '70 Challenger.

you guys want those unique domed center Mopar wheels? they are in the Revell '56 Chevy Del Ray kit  no other wheel looks right except those and they are in all places, in a Chevy kit.

Pics, please.

while those "cop" wheels in the Revell '70 Roadrunner kit are nice i'm at the point i wish Revell never tooled them up. there are way too many folks who don't know swearing they are "stock" wheels for early Mopar musclecars. i'm at the point that i'd rather see the incorrect Magnum 500's on the Super Bee than anything else. sorry for the rant.

I'm glad they did create them when they revised the '70 GTX/RR mold, but an accurate set of 1/24th scale Mopar steel wheels would've been bettter, even if they had left out dog dish hubcaps entirely.

Assuming the steel wheels in the '56 Del Ray are 1/25th scale, how do they look when used with a 1/24th scale tire and the '69 Super Bee kit? That's why the T-bolt wheels are nice- they are already 1/24th scale. Most 1/25th scale wheels do not look right when used on 1/24th scale model, especially when you're dealing with a very familiar 14" or 15" wheel diameter. 1/24th wheels on a 1/25th scale model works more often and better, IMHO.

Here are some A12 cars I have pics of:

I know you don't want to buy a kit or kits to get what you want, but if you change your mind, check out the Lindberg line of '64 mopars. I'm partial to the chrome wheels in the Maverick super stock, but the problem there is that the front and rear sets are different depths, so you'd need two kits to get two matching sets of four. They do look good, though, and to my eye they even have the smaller mopar interior section. It's true that mopar and Ford bolt patterns of that era were the same, but mopar hubcaps were smaller because of the center section--I bought a set of chrome wheels for my Falcon Sprint years ago and it turned out that they were modified Chrysler wheels, so I wound up running Dodge hubcaps. The Lindberg '64 Plymouth Belvedere might be a possibility, too.
