Am I the only one that can practically HEAR the Toyota dealers drooling over the markup on this package when combined with a carriage roof and faux continental kit?!??:D

Oh! - My Eyes!!! Make it STOP!!! Those skirts KILL me!

I do like the FT-thingie. The wing has to go! There are quite a few GT-R styling cues - like the entire fender line with the flairs and gills and stuff. It is an appealing design, however.

Great now we will have a very expensive (for what it is) overly complicated, not terrible green, slow, cheaply made and even more pointless way of moving around in some THING trying to be a Celica.

If you want green get a diesel. If you want a sports car buy a Ferrari.

Toyota are experts at taking all the fun out of driving a car. I had a Celica GTS and it was the most boring car I have ever owned.

Yeah, nothing says "generic" like a Corolla! They may as well have a "Maytag" emblem on them!

Jon,waz wrong witha MAYTAG? We've had a Maytag Washer Dryer combo for YEARS! (about 30) only thing we've replaced are Dryer belts,an a wash timer! I'd like ta see ANY foriegn car, or ANY car for that matter, have a track record like that!laugh.gifwink.gif

What is wrong with that?

Well since a Toyota is about as interesting and exciting as a Maytag, and maybe that turns some people on...

I drive a Corolla and honestly, its one of the best cars I ever owned. Boring styling ...yeah, but reliable also. Toyota may have removed the fun from driving, but even if they don't, the local police department is more than capable to doing that. With all the red light cameras and mobile photo radar units, you could get dinged for half of you're paycheck without having to even talk to a cop. But about the skirts..I am sure that that they are not trying to fool anybody into thinking its a cadillac. Knowing Toyota, theres a practical reason for them. For instance, if they resulted in even a fraction of a mile more a gallon, they should not be mocked, they should be on every car, as ugly as they are.

There is always public transit.

<_< I dunno bout you, but when I imagine "fun driving," it doesn't involve running red lights.

I've got a 1988 Mercedes 300e that has more than 200,000 miles on on it (I don't have an exact number cause the odometer broke at about 190,000 <_< ). She's made it about 22 years so far, and all she's had is a transmission rebuild and a shocks upgrade. Hopefully she'll make it to 30

Barf-o-Matic; I'll take ugly but non-offensive over outright tasteless any day.

The sports car, though, is a nice looking machine. I guess Toyota is capable of making something good-looking.

Wssn't referring to driving thru the redlights. Where I am the redlight cameras have radar built in to issues speeding tickets as well. Just don't see how accelerating to the residential speed limits, slowing down, stopping, accelerating etc etc, could be that much more fun in a sportscar. On the open highway, or on some winding backwoods road, perhaps.

Yup, you gotta go where the radar and red lights (and their cams) are not located... That's kinda what makes fun driving fun, is that you don't always get to do it on your daily grind.

looks like a more upgraded scion tc. i still like real muscle or real sports car. im more interested in the all electric shelby's being built if your trying to go green. in my opinion, if im going to be where i have to stop and go at every traffic light, im not going to waste my money on what they are probably going to sell that for. around my parts, their are plenty of roads to get my 05 goat down the road without slowing down. its still fun to drive it slow also. i could also say the same thing about my dads all original 67 camaro that still runs great.

Geez, anybody else notice that Prius had dual tailpipes?

Yup, we've run 3 Jeep Cherokee's for over 200k with minimal maintenence, two of which Dad used when he worked for a rail road as a work truck!

Ugh I'm jealous of your Goat... I've been wanting one for a long time, but can't afford it. 2005 or 2006 Impulse blue, blue interior, 6spd, with the factory 18" wheels, and a wing delete and it would be perfect.

You're right though, there are plenty of spots you can get going. Kinda like my daily commute up/down 225...
