I recently was playing with this idea and can't decide if it "works". Looking for opinions before I waste too much time on it. It is an 86 monte carlo SS with a 66 nova roof.

It sounds like a horrible idea, but ya know, it doesn't look too bad.

I agree with Casey. The body definitely overpowers the roof. If the body was sectioned and the roof lengthened to give the C-pillar a bit more width, it might look pretty good. I was wondering about using the Monte windshield, too, but I suspect it's a bit too late for that....

Neat idea, and nice work though. I've never been a fan of they styling of the rear half of any modern GM car. GM does some gorgeous front ends, but the backs need some serious help. Keep working with it; you're off to a good start.

IMO i dont think it looks all that great... a monte is a monte and a nova is a nova ... theres a lot of cars u can mix but i dont think these are in that category.. prolly just me tho cuz im a huge monte person

I second this. It just doesn't look good to me. But: 10 out of 10 for originality and the workmanship is spot on!

Yea, I kinda thought that too!

I didn't say in my first reply, but its profile looks like some type of Saturday night asphalt circle track racer.
