I've been thinking, what about Band-Aids? They come in different sizes, shapes, and colors, and have a leather look to them. Granted the regular ones have holes in them, but they could be filled in somehow (or left open for a sporty look). The parts with the foam could act like cushions or help accentuate the seat. Of course, I haven't tried this and don't know how effective they would be (especially with extra glue). It just seems like a material that is thin enough for 1/24 & 1/25 scale, but still has a leather look. If someone were to try this, I guess Band-Aid brand would be the best.

Plus you can get them in Spiderman, SpongeBob.... Wow, the possibilities are endless! :D;)

Exactly, so you can go with plain leather seats or the fancy Spongebob seat covers from PepBoys!

anyone else find it weird that there are references "Hot For Teacher" in here? Twice?

That's a bit creepy...... given who the teacher is (supposedly)

With that, I officially declare that this topic has Jumped the shark. along with the stingray, Killer whale, the trolling boat, QEII, & the U.S.S. New york, all at once.

But we still haven’t heard from the topic starter… He hasn’t finished teaching his methods… He hasn’t answered the “students†questions… How can you say it has jumped the shark? Enquiring minds want to know!

And I do have to agree with you Michael, about the creep factor now that you mention it.

I have to agree here.

I'm quite interested to read the Treehugger's answers to some of these questions that have been asked, but unfortunately he looks to have exited stage left in a hurry, after the proverbial curtain was pulled open on his "wizard of oz" impersonations...leaving him a bit exposed, unprepared, and perhaps somewhat embarrassed.

But Maryse (spelling) isn't a teacher - she's a wrestler. And it's Friday, which means pizza for dinner, walk 1.5 miles, make a bowl of popcorn, and sit down to watch WWE wrestling. Did I ever share the pic of me and Natalya? And for our northern neigbors in Canada, both Maryse and Natalya are from Canada. Natalya now lives in Tampa.

Finally, we're getting this under control.

Bring on the leather babes!!......on second thought, I think I've kicked this thread around pretty good as is.

I don't want overdo it with the chic pics...Gregg may step in and issue an encroachment warning....besides, I've got 4 different projects to get back to.

This has been fun guys, but I'm turning the driver's seat back over to Treehugger-Dave....

This was his thread and he is the one who needs to step up to the plate to do some explaining and answer the big questions....

Happy modeling to all......cheers!!

OHHH! So that's the reason for this long thread..... B)

Hey, hey, now......at least I tried to make this thread worth clicking on....... ;)

You gotta admit hot babes are alot better than band aids, cutting up leather gloves, out of scale detailing, false claims, and fake chrome spray paint......

You got that right. Most, if not all, car mags run pics of georgeous women in every issue. I saved the pic of the babe with that red car you posted.

Oh. Besides Natalya, I also have an autographed pic of Flo.

Flo?

Is that the maid from The Jeffersons?

The Jefferson's? No. Flo from the Progressive Insurance commercials.

Can you believe this thread started about leather interiors? How well we degress - and so quickly.

An excellent place for this individual, who has the "honor" of being the only person on both my ignore and PM block lists.

I thought it especially hilarious that he was complaining about boorish behavior. He won a gold medal in that category. He is a real "Diminutive of Richard" head!! ;):P

If you really want to antagonize him just correct his spelling and grammar!:o

why is this even in the workbench section? ought to be in the tips and tricks if you ask me, and of course you didnt. only good thing to come out of it were suggestive photos but i have to agree with mark jones...if youre claiming something, then when someone has the unmitigated nerve to mention, maybe, just maybe, thats not correct, you ought to back it up and not leave in a huff. cause when you leave in a huff, well youve just proven what your detractors are saying.

i knew she had a "freaky" side! ;) i think it was the red lipstick and the odd sketchy behavior?

while i didn't learn anything about Daves methods for leather interiors i did learn alot of other "stuff" :P

the flo in leather pic has been shopped.....

I know this is totally OT (wait... is it possible to be OT in this thread???)...

But Jeff, what's the deal with your posts? You quote someone, then there's like 20 returns before you start your reply. Lots of dead white space that I'm getting tired of going in and editing out... ;)
