i know the "Flo" shot is photoshopped but it's still fun  i'm pretty sure you can find similar pics of Britney, Christina and..........................well, nevermind.

I've seen some lewd and crude Britney shoppage, but this is a family forum.....Posting those images here will result in instant bannage.... ;)

I know this is totally OT (wait... is it possible to be OT in this thread???)...

But Jeff, what's the deal with your posts? You quote someone, then there's like 20 returns before you start your reply. Lots of dead white space that I'm getting tired of going in and editing out... ;)

I'm having some web browser issues, so I'm jumping below the accessory bar that's now back in the middle of my response window....I'll get to fixin things up soon......No really, I promise.....seriously....I'm not being fraudulent here.... ;)

after reading his post on "legwork and research and hands on research" i'm starting to think maybe he's talking about the following:

the person who is building the model should research different leather materials, AND find out what's available in their areas to see if they can get something that would suit THEIR desire in the fabric thickness, pattern, color, etc.

it doesn't sound like he's stating "here's what leather seats look like. find leather and figure it out yourself."

maybe some people just have a poor sense of interpretation? i dunno.

anyways, back to building models *cough*

I figure this makes as much sense as almost every other post

I really don't think theres much more to add to this thread...I suppose it's time to dig a 6 foot hole and put it to a final rest.

We've all basically had a couple of turns taking swings at the pinata and theres no more candy left to fall on the floor....

I think you're right.

Although I have to say some of you guys are pretty funny. I actually laughed out loud all day long reading this thread. Who knew we had a whole Second City troupe right here?

Oh man, some of the humor was epic indeed, but hopefully it's all out of our systems by now. I never really enjoy seeing a decent builder get chased off the board even if they were stretching the truth a bit.

The treehugger seems to self indulge a bit, but overall I think he tries to mean well...Anyway, I'm done here. I've got two more paint jobs to do tonight....Night, everybody.

I do want to address the above comments:

If someone is going to do a "how to/tutorial", for the benefit of the reader, you include all of the information & knowledge that you have & that you think the reader will need to successfully attempt the technique. If you're sharing your secrets in a post, then you share them, you don't give half or part of the information & then hold back the rest. That's simply bad form & ego. Someone truly interested in helping others would hold back info & make an asinine remark about "paying dues". That's something someone looking to have their ego stroked or that are not actually not willing to help others would say.

If you truly want to help others in doing something, go into details & be specific.

:)

i totally agree with u mark

An example of 'mob mentality' at it's worst.

Where is a moderator when they are needed.

Oh, that's right.

He's posting too! :)

Once again the question is... how much freedom do I give you guys?

Do I let a thread run its course, or lock it? Tough call sometimes.

I swear, if I lock a thread I get people complaining about it... if I let a thread run, I get people complaining.

Hey, anyone out there who has all the answers and knows exactly what to do in every case, you can have this moderator job. The hours are long and the pay sucks, but if you know better than I do, please feel free to take over. You want the job, James?

i say, as long as we keep posting pics of flo, keep it open

i would also like to take this oppurtunity to let those guests who arent members but happened to stumble across this topic know that this is NOT the way we normally handle our buisness here

we are one big happy family and somehow we managed to get a few second or third cousins in today that dont work things out as the rest of us do.

please dont look at this thread and draw your impressions about us from it

most all of the time we are friendly and helpfull and respectfull folks :)

somehow this one got away from us

Thanks for locking this thread.

I have also deleted all posts with offensive pictures in them.

Anyone who posts such pictures like that will be put on notice and may be banned.

I have nothing against those type of photos, in your own space, but this is my forum, and I will not allow them here.

I am not a fuddy duddy, those are just some rules I hope all you all respect.

As for the thread, I guess I missed the boat on this one.....
