ScrappyJ Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 The '55 Cameo was completed for the Atlanta show (NNL South), but didn't find time to take pics. until yesterday. Some of you guys might remember it in progress, but in the event you don't I've included the some in progress pics. too. Hope you guys enjoy! I believe the front clip is from a '65 Vette, but can't remember, the rest of the chassis is all scratchbuilt: Because this was a re-build I already had a mill for it. This is the old mill (don't know if you guys rememer this): In primer: Finished model: More pics in my fotki album!
Daniel Peterson Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 That's outstanding! Looks as well engineered as it good looking!
ScrappyJ Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 That's outstanding! Looks as well engineered as it good looking! Thanks, Daniel! Although most people like my VW better, the Cameo is my favorite.
MrObsessive Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Some great engineering you did with the doors! That's a tough deal with those ooooohh sooooo thin doglegs for the wraparound windshield! Excellent job!
Steve H. Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Very nice! I'm kicking myself, because I don't remember seeing it at NNL South!
GTmike400 Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 I loved seeing it in person the past two years at NNL South. Dirk brought it to NNL05 in progress an it was great seeing it in progress. Dirk, you've already heard what I think. I think it looks awesome, in my opinion its my favorite. Although the VW has more machine work, which is undoubtedly awesome, I love the stance and build of this one.
MonoPed Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Although the VeeDub is way cool, this one just does it for me...love the stance and overall look!!
Rick Forrester Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 VERY COOL. LOVE THE FRAME TRUCK SIT JUST RIGHT.PAPAFO 8)
Andy Wyatt Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 That is TOUGH! Love the stance...very cool build!
Randy Kern Posted January 2, 2007 Posted January 2, 2007 Very cool. Clean and smooth. The motor is as clean as the truck, too. No geegaws or unnecessary parts. Excellent build, Dirk.
Tom Kren Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 very nice job!! love the color stance and everything else!
