I haven't built either but here is a long bed I have built and haven't finished yet, if you get what I mean.

The finshed half:

and the other half, which isn't close to finished:

Don't think these will help but thought I would show you anyways! A little imagination you can do anything to a truck!!

Dukefan69, both trucks look good...

I really like the 84 GMC Dually

I,myself am working on the 454 SS at the moment. Can't wait to get it done.

This one is molded in black, just shooting some clear over it..

Anyways, enough bull, once again I like the trucks

Here is box Chevy I know it's not the 84 but still box. My Off road beater project and my buddy Toby's lifted one. 3Trucks.jpg%7Boption%7D

That mirror looks a little high? oh wait you have to put your head through the sunroof to use it. :D:DB)

I don't see the overlap (maybe I'm not looking hard enough). It just looks like a real soft cover with the support bows.

Here is a model I did of my personal daily driver.

I used a Lindberg 4x4 kit and two Revell kits, one with an extended cab and one with the style side bed.

The kit with the style side bed was a long bed and my truck is a std bed so I also had to shorten the bed.

The paint is the actual paint code matches of my real truck.

I made the decals by taking a picture of the truck and then tweaking it in MSPaint.

Well from the back view, on the right side of the cover, it looks like there are light edges along the bows (which would suggest the edge of a piece of tape).

Here's an AMT Chevy 454SS I built for a client a few years ago. Lots of scratchbuilt stuff (bed cover, bed cover hinges, under hood tanks and details, window vent shades, seat risers, headers, etc.) opening doors, lowered ride height, etc.
