Ramcharger Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I voted for Bacon & Eggs because Rice Krispies and Beer was not an option. Snap, Crackle, & Burp!
Nick Winter Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Wow this is just plain assinine, good show, so I hope you feel better about yourself now after making fun of a 14 year old kid.

Nick, you need to stop painting a target on your back!! I won't take any shots at you because I don't do that but you do leave yourself wide open for ridicule at times. People were just having some fun here and I gather someone on this thread has taken some shots at you in the past. So what do you have for breakfast? Edited March 1, 2010 by Modelmartin

Jello Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Hey Jello, that was spoken like a true Georgia boy. Having spent 40 yrs in Jacksonville I can appreciate a good Southern breakfast. oldscool Thanks Oldscool! I have many family members in Jacksonville and they run a machine shop making truck bodies for the tree service companies. Great seafood too! By the way guys, its not always just ham, sometimes we have a fish fry, steak and always plenty of pork like bacon to go with the food I mention and of course, good ol' grits with cheese or not, cheese biscuits, slices of thick tomatoes, hushpuppies too! Lifes short and hard, I do my best to enjoy it!

Jello Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 So, has your cholesterol level gone down with your weight change? (I love a place where you can talk about model cars, breakfast, beer and cholesterol in the same thread.) It works! I'am never hungry and I can eat all I want too. I snack in between too. I'am not even trying to lose weight and the only reason I do this is cause I have a damage liver ( cirrhosis) from taking medicines for another problem i had years ago. Now, I'am in better shape today at 50 than i was at 40. Still have to take pills and can't do hard work tho thanks to the other Drs for giving me that bad medicine in the first place. Yes, its way down and my sugar is 90, blood pressure is on the low side and I'am still about 20 lbs over my weight ( 5'9 190 now) LDO & Guys, great topic! Its all good and fun and like I notice everywhere else, some people don't have a sense of humor eh? Have fun!
Jello Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 How are you still alive??? Funny Harry! Still here! Its just like the guy thats been smoking and drinking for 80 years and still alive I reckons! How does anyone explain that?

Blake Rogers Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Ahhh....hold on- the bacon will be crispy. Too crispy to pick up with a fork. The eggs will be over easy. Put a little Tabasco on them, squeeze the yolk out and eat only the whites. Put more Tabasco on the yolks, stir it around, then soak up with dry toast, lightly toasted. Was it all down with Coke..oh man, that's the stuff right there. Con: all the cholesterol. Pro: I haven't done that in a while we eat the same way that's freaky lol
Jello Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 no kidding eh man but ya i dont care what i eat i work hard so why eat the way i want to Took me a while to get used to the not being able to work hard these days ( Drs orders) cause I have always worked hard all my life and since I was 12 years old. I can't stand to sit for more than 2 mins. I did try to work a little harder couple of times over the pass year and got sick. The goal now is to live with my bad liver til times up ( I don't ever want a transplant) and so far, doing fine. I cook a lot now using water and spices instead of using grease and soak up grease from meats with paper towels. Nothing is ever easy, it does take lots of discipline but thats something everybody should do everyday no matter what you are doing even building models. Having discipline does make you a better person. My 91 year old Grandmother is ready to plant her spring garden but its still too cold! That tells you a lot itself. Khart, Turkey Bacon is indeed good!
Modelmartin Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 no kidding eh man but ya i dont care what i eat i work hard so why eat the way i want to Maybe there is a diet or maybe even some pills you can take to help out your punctuation and capitalisation defiency that you're experiencing!!!
MrObsessive Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Try turkey bacon. Nowhere near the fat or cholesterol of pork bacon, and it's yummy, too. Five minutes or so in the microwave and it's nice and crispy. Turkey sausage is really good, too. Since I don't eat pork, I found those to be very good alternatives! Also, chicken sausage is good-------especially if you can find the buffalo and three cheeses kind.
disabled modeler Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I usually get the bacon my wife burns....not by my choise
