Hi John...I haven't been on this forum very long but I just have to compliment your build out of this truck....it is just sick, I mean really, really spectacular. I am trying to build some of the cars I used to see run back in the 70's at E-town and this was one that I had completely forgotten about. Thanks for bringing it back to life for me...I don't recall the paint scheme but nonetheless you did it real justice!

Anthony......thank you for the kind comments........I got to know Mr. Poole through T.V. Tommy Ivo......Mr. Poole sent me some reference pictures of this truck but it did have a different paint scheme.......it took him awhile to remember this paint scheme........he said back then he changed the paint job almost every week because of crashes and of sponsors back then......he said that he thought this paint job was the ugliest of all his paint schemes........but I told him I liked it because it looked like a challenge........anyway he said that a "little person" painted it and the guy had ropes tied to rafters and he would swing around to paint.......I just thought you would want to know.......thank`s again.

Since I joined this great forum I have noticed there are many great builders out there.

But I honestly believe you and Rommel got a whole lot more talent than most.

Fantastic build.

Great build my friend! I love everything about it except for the wrinkles in the slicks. The wrinkles are depicting the car as if it was under launch. Now if you had a driver in it and it was posed as if it was just leaving the starting line it'd be perfect!
