Chariots of Fire
For the past few months I've been working on this rig. 1/25 scale and modeled after an actual rig used at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod back in the 1950's Engine is detailed under the hood and a second engine and pump are in the rear. macs_rock
That is a NICE truck. Did you scratch build the whole thing yourself?

Aaronw
Wow, I saw you getting started on this but missed a lot in between. I think you have out done your usual high standard of work. If it needs a stablemate I recently took a ton of photos and got measurements off of an O-11A.
Chariots of Fire
Aaron: That would be great! I'd certainly put them to good use.
Old Albion
A superb build!! Very interesting subject. I see you made the butterfly hood with the piano hinges. I use the ones from Model Car Garages. Where did you get those from? Oh no don't tell me you scratch built them as well!! Many Thanks for sharing this great build. Dave
Chariots of Fire
No I did not scratch build the hinges. They are brass piano hinges that I got from Phoenix Model Development in England. Micro-Mark used to sell them but no more. Kind of expensive but they really do the trick. They are on line and readily take credit cards for payment. I found them a good company to do business with.
