Chromecop Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Last week I finished this build. It's a Hasegawa curbside with a Fujimi curbside Porsche 911 engine-plate and all scratchbuilt Porsche-style front- and rear suspension. Wheels roll and steer. The steeringwheel can be positioned to match the front wheels position. I also scratched: The rear VW emblem for the body The safari-style front windows The roof-rack (using evergreen rods and sheet plastic) The tow hitch The rack for the spare-wheel The dash The sunroof
Rat Fink Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 You cannot go wrong with a slammed Vdub. Nicely done. Got any pics of the engine detail?
Greg Cullinan Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 The hubcaps look sick on this and I like the white bumpers. All of your added touches really set it off.
Chromecop Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 Many thanks for all the kind words on this one! Sorry, I don't have any engine detail pics as it's a curbside and most of the "engine dummy-plate" is covered by the exhausts and tow-hitch. However, here's a link to the whole album with close to 200 pics taken during the build: VW Bus, Moon style
