Guest Gramps-xrds Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 (edited) Thought you might like to see something a little different. It started as a chevy cabriolet with a highly modified 32 switchers top added. Edited April 21, 2010 by Gramps-xrds
weasel Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 that's a nice HotRod!!! did ya make the headers?? whose cheater slicks?? RMoM
Jairus Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 WOW, there is a lot of cool going on there! Love the pipes. Love the Nail head motor. Love the Cheater slicks and have to echo the first request... where did you get them?
Greg Cullinan Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 That's a very cool build. Every detail you added is just more cool points on top of what was already a cool concept.

Love the Cheater slicks and have to echo the first request... where did you get them? I'm glad you guys like it. The headers are Jo-Han mopars. The cheater slicks are prob 40 yr old pie crusts (You got these in all the kits then) that I cut on a drill with a razor saw.
Sixties Sam Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Outstanding! A '32 that's not a Ford - that's rare! Great detailing and paint, and the headers are way cool! Sam
jedimastergary Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Looks cool awsome build and not many early chevys made in kit form
george 53 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The headers are the fenderwell units from the JoHan Mopes, the ones from the 64 Dodge I would imagine, they're in the 64 Dodge "Recharged"kit. The body is the old MPC 32 chevy Cabriolet with the roof added! I know caz I gave him the idea! But HIS turned out REALLY GREAT. Me, and Chuck Most are building one too, but seein as how i can't post pics You'll just hafte see theirs to get the idea of what we were tryin to accomplish. Gotta admit his DID come out really nice, din't it? Great build, Bill, as usual!
Fletch Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Excellent build from one end to the other. A lot of work to convert the Roadster into a coupe. Color combinations work extremely well together. One to be proud of for sure.
Guest Gramps-xrds Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Thanks guys for the nice comments. They're very much appreciated. Now that I managed to make a chevy coupe, I'm thinkin bout maybe tryin to convert something else into a chevy. Haven't figured out what yet though. Maybe a sedan or phaeton.
george 53 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Cool Bill! See ya jus needed a little out side stimulus ta get the ol creative juices flowin Daddy-O!!!
dimaxion Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 And now for something somewhat different ! I noticed thr Front wheels are from a '32 Ford ? Is this build on a Ford Chassis ? It has the everyday SBC , well done version . I like the pie crust tires . Nice build . Thanx ..

It IS sitting on a 32 ford frame with ford wheels, but rather than the buggy spring suspension I made duel leaf springs like chevy's used. It's not a SBC though John, it's a nailhead Buick:lol:
dimaxion Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 (edited) Ooops .. I was wrong , really wrong . I thought this was another Ho - Hum . Thank you for the Original Idea . Tha nx .. Edited April 30, 2010 by dimaxion
