Wagoneer81 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I'm going to say that it's a model, large scale and very, VERY well done. Something about the tires looks a bit off. Let's see if I can go 3 for 3 here...
disabled modeler Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I am going with Model, The gas filler cap looks out of scale a bit to me? If it is a model it very well done!
Zoom Zoom Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I did what I was told. I looked, I voted...before I snooped around to find the answer. Phew...got it right again
Harry P. Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Real. ...but it could be a model Yes, you understand this game perfectly!!! Final vote: 39 REAL, 26 MODEL. Fairly close, but the majority wins! It's REAL! Coming Monday... Auto ID Quiz #2!
Pete J. Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I vote model. There is a major error that any competent restorer would not have made. Won't say what, but will tell Friday. Very nice model. Real??? Unbelievable! The restorer got the wheels wrong. They should be Boronni's with a three row spoke. On a restoration of a car like this, I am quite surprised.

On a restoration of a car like this, I am quite surprised. It recently sold at auction for more than 2 million euros... wheels and all!!!
Pete J. Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Harry, you got me! They are the correct wheels, just very hard to see the third row. RM auctions photo blows up better. I guess I should do my research before I vote, but then that wouldn't be in the spirit of the challenge now would it?
