iBorg Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 I took a detour this weekend, had to get my fingers dirty. Some projects I started: Greg: Had to do some modeling to remember why you "ride herd" over this group? Can you tell me the resin casters? The Willys looks to have the inner window frames in place for the window glass. Nice touch on the casters part although I couldn't make out the door frames. Thanks, Mike
Nick Notarangelo Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 Nice job Gregg,Nice to see the boos take a break from us and do somethinf and even better to post it to.
Gregg Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 The Willys is from our friends at Flash Point Motorsports. I did a review on Terry's bodies a while ago. The Ford is from Jimmy Flintstone, I think. And yes, I build. I did have the cover of Car Modeler back in the early '90s with my VW Corrado Pro Stock
Scalper Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 That Willys is going to look killer from the looks if it already!
Dragline Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 A Pro Mod and what looks like a Land Speed car. I knew you were a Drag Guy.... wait...that didn't come out right. Bob VERY good looking both.

Rick Forrester Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 That's nice that you started something. But now can you finsh them. Like wheres the Merc wagon. Is it done. If so lets see it. LMAO papafo

Jeff Sauber Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 (edited) Well, if starting-but-not-finishing stuff was a crime, we'd have a lot of guilty people around here...look at the glass half-full instead...with it started, at least there's a chance it gets finished. Unstarted builds are 0% of the way there... Nicely said, Mark.... Heck some certain folks here seem to have a really difficult time getting anywhere near a work bench these days....They would rather be here, doing......well, You know... By the way, Very cool willys, Gregg. Edited May 5, 2010 by J. Sauber
Danno Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 You mean Gregg is challenging my title as "Unfinished ModelKing?" I better get to work on not finishing smoething else, quick! LOL
Gregg Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 Thanks, Guys. Yes, I am the king of unfinished models! Well, the Big Kahuna, at least. I have so many more to start, and hopefully finish. Rick, BYTE ME!!!! I finished the Merc, but the roof got Scooby Dooed from a paper towel used to pack it with. I stripped it, going to repaint it. I want to try something different on this one. I just got the Modelhaus '49 Merc with '53 Buick side trim and Desotto grille, see if I can graft on the roof of Ariel's wagon. That would be too cool!!! And more Willys projects My '69 and '65 El Camino's 65 Chevy truck Belly Tanker Mustang 08 Convertible Mustang 06 Convertible new Camaro wagon Camaro street machine (black and a blue one) Jimmy's resin wagons (will post on reviews soon) Mill City Replica COE 38 Ford and 40 Ford
mountaindewd Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 It is obvious that the Willys will never get finished. Look at the rear tires, no engine yet and it is already going in reverse.
Railfreak78 Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I know this will make everyone smack me but I'll take that Willy's for a "War Wizard" build How much did it run? Nice to see ya back at it too.
Paul Payne Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I really like the Ford dry lakes and salt flats car- reminds me of the Crisman brothers coupe. Any thoughts on the engine and wheels? Norm Veber has the old style solid dished Halibrand wheels but they aren't listed in his catalogue. Hope you finish this soon and post more pix.

I have many unfinshed projest too. This was a presonal thing{as in a fun way}. The wagon was to be done for Toledo N.N.L. And was not done for the wagon challenge that he started between Tom Kern and Lyle. So be cool my friend. BIG PAPAFO
