I'll jump in and celebrate the opening of a new light truck section by posting some of my trucks too. You may notice I have a thing for green.

Wow I really like your trucks!! Nice job on all of them and yeah I'd say you have a thing for green...

What did you use for the running gear on the '60 Chevy truck? And did you make that service bed on the '72 Chevy.

Yes, I built the service body. I was lucky enough to find a Reading body from the 70s on a truck near my house when I was getting started.

The '60 Chevy used wheels I cast from a diecast Dodge Powerwagon. The 4x4 bits were made from from styrene strip and tubing, with a resin differential and transfer case.

green is my favorite color but i think you are a bigger fan of the forest service.

Wow another blast from the past.

Thanks, glad someone liked them enough to dig up the post.

Manny, you caught me, I admit I do have a bit of a USFS fetish. I'll actually be posting a few new ones in a few days.

The '60 is awsome. A real stand out. The box on the '72 is one I'd like to have in my own stash of truckparts.

I'm really amazed the are no kits with utility bodies, they always seem to generate interest when they turn up. Guess it is just part of that lack of interest in trucks.

Ron I do work for the Forest Service, which is what generated the interest.

A lot of people seem to think the '60-61 was an ugly design. Personally I like them, not as flashy as the 55-59, but they have a very tough, determined look appropriate for a work truck.
