Gregg Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Guys, don't even attempt to swear I will delete the posts.
glenn Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Great work on this build Romell,it's great to see how much hard work and time invested that goes into making and modifying models.
lrlocke01 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) Awesome work on this, can't wait to see it under glass. I for one would love to see a polishing tutorial, Pretty Please with sugar on top! Edited July 1, 2010 by lrlocke01
Corvette.Jeff Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 This is the first time ive replyed to this thread, but ive been watching this build from the start!! Totally awesome buildup of both the 1/25 and the 1/1, are you on any chevy forums??? keep up the great work brother, Jeff.

Romell R Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) ok looks like I'll be doing a tutorial on paint polishing so stay tuned kiddies Edited July 2, 2010 by Aftashox
Romell R Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) Well Fellas I think its time for another update I was gonna hook up the fuel lines then I remembered I dont have anywhere to run them from so I have to make a 20 gal fuel cell like the one for my 1:1 so i pulled out the ol tape measure and got busy. here are a few pics of the build enjoy.... I started with a sheet of styrene and some measurements of my 1:1 cell here I have the box at the right size before I sand and refine Edited July 3, 2010 by Aftashox
Romell R Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) here I have added the fuel sump . this is where the fuel lines will attach... Starting to take shape... a lil primer to get it ready for base coat... Black base coat in preperation for Alclad aluminum..... Edited July 3, 2010 by Aftashox
Romell R Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 And heres the finished product , So what do you think?
David G. Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 The model is SWEET!!! but that 1:1 looks like a piece of junk! I would get rid of the body and keep the motor. Some folks just aren't used to seeing that much steel in one place at one time.
Romell R Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 (edited) Thx Vizio for your compliments and I think you may have something there David G. Edited July 3, 2010 by Aftashox
Jim Gibbons Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Every aspect of this build is a new lesson; with each new post, I feel like I'm opening a Christmas present!
ARTEMIS1759 Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Sweet Rommell you guys are inspiring me to get back into some serious building since I can't build a 1:1 yet when I get home. See how detailed I can get. Though my squad leader wants to sell me a 72 Buick GS with a 350 in fairly good condition for 1000 dollars. Thinking about it.
mopar01lee Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 yo romell you are insane that fuel tank is awsome i might have to do that one to my ramcharger....lol Davin
highway Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 A buick 350 or a chevy 350? If its a chevy 350 I would walk away. Those Buick 350s are monsters! I had 73 Buick 350 in a 79 Firebird and that thing would light em up on demand. It had so much torque it cracked both rear leaf springs in two!
highway Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Romell, that fuel cell is a work of art! I'd swear you invented a shrink ray if you hadn't shown it in raw plastic!!
Romell R Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 Romell, that fuel cell is a work of art! I'd swear you invented a shrink ray if you hadn't shown it in raw plastic!! SSSSHHHHH!! the government has been after my shrink ray for years LOL! thx for the compliment Highway
highway Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 SSSSHHHHH!! the government has been after my shrink ray for years LOL! thx for the compliment Highway You're welcome, Romell, and I'll believe you got that shrink ray when I see flames shooting out of the model's exhaust from that monster under the hood!
Romell R Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 Thx fellas for the compliments I decieded to slap this puppy in the trunk area and hook up the fuel lines to it heres the progress enjoy... Heres a sneak peek at whats comming up next!...
highway Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 You got me drooling already!! I guess I'd better get a lot of rolls of Bounty and a couple spare keyboards on standby!
vizio93 Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 That tank looks sweat in the trunk and I can't wait to see more of that Nova !!!
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 WOW Romel. you don't (CURSE WORD) around, do you?!?! It's a slow day here at work so I had time to read the entire thread. NIIIIICE!!! Wish I had the time and talent to do work like that. Your work is definitly motivating! How do you find time to work, build, photograph, post, reply and still have a life? Either way, keep it up Bro! PLEASE!!!
MoparWoman Jamie Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Dang Remoll, or ah Romell LOL. I just got back online this morning after being off line for afew days thanks to a broadband moden blowing up on me the other night. I must say I like your attention to detail man, that scale gas tank looks like the real thing in the trunk area of the model. If you would have taken a close up and I mean close up I would have thought that it was real man. Your detail on that is right on. first thing i did was when I got back online this morning was come stright to the forum to check your thread out man to see if you had posted any updates which you had. Keep up the good work bud!
