935k3 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Anybody else looking forward to the 24 this weekend. Listen to radiolemans. com for all the news and qualifying Wednesday and Thursday afternoon(EST) here is a pic of the Drayson Lola, love to build a model of this one. Note the Profil-24 decal, maybe one is coming. This years Audi R15 Plus. Edited June 9, 2010 by 935k3
Zoom Zoom Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Definitely looking forward to it. We'll be having out traditional LeMans palooza in north GA; about 7 or 8 builders. I'm building the Hasegawa Testa Rossa using aftermarket "Lucybelle" decals. My prep work is done, just waiting for the green flag on Sat. morning.
Nick F40 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Oh oh me me! Well, you already knew that Yup, can't wait, i'll be listening to radio lemans more and can't wait until Saturday! Those nes cars are so sick looking everytime I see them, I can see they are trying to get back to Group C esque looking and for open cockpit witch I loath, that R15+ just looks evil. But prototypes suck!! GT class is where it's at, that's going to be the sickest race yet!! REAL competition!!I'm going to have to get down to Georgia one of these years Between this and the finals game with US vs. England..busy saturday!
Rob Hall Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Darn...going to miss it...going to the beach. Maybe I can TiVo it or see some at my hotel.
935k3 Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 Tt is good to se BMW back at the reace with their crazy art cars. This Aston Martin is pretty artistic too.
CAL Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 absolutely! listening live to Free Practice. Sounds like Audi is in troube again. It might be a Corvette Ferrari battle in GT2.
Van Halen Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Some of the cars look killer this year, love these designs .. This Porshe has to be one of the nicest race designs EVER imo.
sjordan2 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Dang. That BMW looks like Peter Max threw up on it. Not that that's a bad thing. Edited June 9, 2010 by sjordan2
CAL Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 The Pugs are fast, fast, fast, they say they are going to crack the lap record 3'18"500 less than 2hrs til 1st quali, which should be the fastest session. It's cool, dry and the Pugs are on fire. Tomorrow should be rain.

Nick F40 Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Baaah on the Pugs, although it's nice to hear the Peugoet name ACTUALLY do good and win something lately THe GT battle is going to be freakin sick! sick looking cars and the battles, yeah, screw those prototypes, I like the ones that actually make noise, but GT is where it's at. And all I can say for this year is GT1...YES BOOYAH!!

And all I can say for this year is GT1...YES BOOYAH!! GT1 is likely were the race will be. It will probably be a Pug blow out and they sweep the podium. The AM Lolas might be able to pick off a few R15s. Allen is clearly not happy with the Audi performance. It's not out right speed either, it's mid and high speed cornering that they are struggling with.

935k3 Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 I love the GT2 cars and the races they have but the prototype coupes are the coolest looking. This the Team Oreca Pug 908LM

Nick F40 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Oh wow! Yeah, they do look good I agree. They are small, a lot of people don't realize. They need to do a modern Group C and GTP styling, THAT would be sweet. Coupays for the win.
