Custom Hearse Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 (edited) Here's something I've been working on for awhile. I've been waiting for the weather to warm up(I live in an apartment building, so I have to do all my painting outside), so I can do more work on it..... I started by cutting up two MPC '78 Corvette bodies(no pun intended)up, and putting them together.... Then I scratchbuilt the roof with sheet plastic.... Then I added IMSA racing fenders, to give it a more sporty body(Still, no pun intended).... Then found a L88 hood for it.... I then cut out a backdoor for it.... Added sheet plastic to form the window, and added sheet plastic to the body(No.... Nevermind) to make a door frame.... Then puttied it and primered it.... I used some tape to mockup the door to get an idea of how it will look.... I then built, and detailed the engine.... Another view.... I bought some Model Master Ultra Violet Pearl lacquer paint, and plan to test it on a spare body, to see if it would look good on the hearse. Let me know what you think! And thanks for looking! What Kind Of Wheels Are Those Theyre Awesome Im Looking For A Set To Put On My Vette. Thanks for the compliment Isu! The wheels came in one of the 7 MPC 1/20th scale Corvette kits I bought, but darned if I can remember which kit. If you want to know which kit, I'll see if I can find the box top and send you a PM. Thanks again!
ubermodel Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 This is such a great idea! Just don't leave any stiffs in the back for too long, or your "Corpsevette" will also be a "Stinkray".
