Here's something I've been working on for awhile. I've been waiting for the weather to warm up(I live in an apartment building, so I have to do all my painting outside), so I can do more work on it.....

I started by cutting up two MPC '78 Corvette bodies(no pun intended)up, and putting them together....

Then I scratchbuilt the roof with sheet plastic....

Then I added IMSA racing fenders, to give it a more sporty body(Still, no pun intended)....

Then found a L88 hood for it....

I then cut out a backdoor for it....

Added sheet plastic to form the window, and added sheet plastic to the body(No.... Nevermind) to make a door frame....

717977-R1-06-18A.jpg

Then puttied it and primered it....

I used some tape to mockup the door to get an idea of how it will look....

I then built, and detailed the engine....

Another view....

I bought some Model Master Ultra Violet Pearl lacquer paint, and plan to test it on a spare body, to see if it would look good on the hearse. Let me know what you think! And thanks for looking!

Dude that build is awesome,I think the hood will take it over the top.Kinda makes me think of a Tom Daniels kit, it would probably have "GHOUL INDUCTION" or something like that on the hood....lol.Very nice looking build.

That's turning out great! Really outside the box (pine box?). Let's just hope the dearly departed will fit in a small size coffin!

THAT, is cool from every angle!!

I was thinking about this build last week, wondering when it would be back!

I love the hood, the coffin and the cross is great, goes with the theme!

Thanks for the compliment Isu! The wheels came in one of the 7 MPC 1/20th scale Corvette kits I bought, but darned if I can remember which kit. If you want to know which kit, I'll see if I can find the box top and send you a PM. Thanks again!

This is such a great idea! Just don't leave any stiffs in the back for too long, or your "Corpsevette" will also be a "Stinkray".

Oooohhhhhh.... Bad pun!!!! :o Thanks for the great compliment Dennis!
