Bruce Poage Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 Part way through the assembly of the Dodge Ram VTS I discovered the firewall was missing. I search the plastic lab high and low--not to be found. So I wrote to Revell sending the name and number of the kit and a description of the missing part. They asked for a specific part number I checked and did a part number elimination--there was no number for this part. So I looked at the original sprue and described A.)where the part was located on the assembly instructions, B.) where it was located on the sprue as well as the sprue number. But I pointed out that part had no number. Please read the nice reply I received from those nice folks today, "You are correct. We do show it in our specs but not labeled on the insgtruction sheet. we are bringing this to the attention of our Engineering Department. At this time there are no plans to correct the instruction sheet since this kit was dropped from our product line. However, if the company decides to re-run the kit again in the future the part #35--Firewall will be added to the instruction sheet. Thank you for bringing this to our attendion and your order for the part is being processed. You should receive it shortly." Amen--some folks still care!!

MyBradKeselowski Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I agree,Revell usually comes through for their kits and modelers...
Romell R Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I have always had good dealing with the folks at Revell , they once went as far as replacing a whole parts tree for me.
Kaleb Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I had to get a part from them as well, Had no problems whatsoever.
HotRodaSaurus Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 I had a problem with the glass area of a 1/8 corvettte kit,Revell Germany just passed it back , told me to contact Revell USA but they never wrote back. I ended up fabricating the glass areas fron clear sheet and accetate. Came out ok though John
crazyjim Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 (edited) Revell has provided me with replacement/missing parts several times. I guess because of its' age, they weren't able to provide decals for the RC Cola Wagon - but a terrific MCM person mailed them to me. Sorry, that was before I started keeping track of trades, so I don't remember who it was. Edited August 12, 2010 by crazyjim
