Steve Keck
Driving by the Penske Porsche dealership in Scottsdale, Arizona, I saw what surely must make Porsche purists roll over in their grave! I immediately thought TamiyaCon and GSL! Speculation among TamiyaCon participants was Mr. Tamiya does not like his styrene cut up; thus, no convertible replica as Tamiya does not produce a GT3 convertible. All flames were mask with Tamiya tape except the small purple flames. The fabric within the Tamiya tape prevented clean cuts with very small radii. Scale-Master cut the vinyl masks used to shoot the purple flames. All colors were intended to be Tamiya. I held to this standard until the pin stripes were added. Tamiya TS aerosols resist all decal solvents known to this man, so Testors enamels were used for the pin stripes. All the pin stripes were cut from painted decal film with two single edge razor blades. Yes all the flames have pin stripes. Clear coat is three-part PPG series 800 Thanks for looking! Steve Keck
Steve, you didn't by chance at any time live on a yellow submarine did you? No. But, I attended the University of Colorado in Boulder during the late '60's. Is that close enough?

Modelmartin
That Porsche is nothing, Man! I saw a Ferrari 348? cabrio in a jewelry store on Waikiki that had dolphins painted all over it. It was pretty cr@ptastic! How about the Beatles Rolls Royce? The Hubley/Scalecraft/Entex kit is very close.

diymirage
you did a great job on that for some reason it reminds me of a line from the song "country gentleman" if i recall correctly it says "you think you're all that but you're looking like scotsdale"
sjordan2
That's a virtuoso performance. Reminds me of a Le Mans "art car." And actually, I think it works better on a coupe than the cabrio.

Jim Gibbons
Really nice job! As Skip mentioned, it does look like the racing "art cars." I especially like the BMWs that were done by different famous artists.

Go buff, go Buffs! ik wel eigenlijk, nou ja, geen echte commune maar wel in een durpske (sorry, dorpje) van zon 1200 man waar je dus ook echt met iedereen op een voornaams basis zat, de plaatselijke politie agent inclusief. ik kan me nog goed herinneren dat een maatje van mij onderuit was gegaan met zijn honda MT en zo tegen een wagen aan was geslagen. eigenaar van de wagen over de rooje dus die de politie gebeld. komen net op dat moment ik en een andere maat van mij daar voorbij. dus wij zien die motor in die wagen zitten en wij weten het wel. sjekkie derbij, op het teras een paar pilsjes gepakt en wij verhaal halen bij die maat van ons. staan we daar nog geen minuut , de vlam amper in de sigaret en hier komen de wouten aan. die twee parkeren hun golfje (want toen reden ze nog in eene golf) stappen uit, steken allebei een marlboro op en kijken het tafereel eens aan, motor in de wagen, wagen in de kreukels en ik en mijn maatje derbij met een pilsje in de hand. doet de sergeant haar mond open en zegt "goedemiddag meneer van der heijen, meneer egelmeer" en wij allebei "ho ho, maar deze keer waren wij het NIET" ze wist niet hoe ze het had dat waren nog een tijden
