DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 Excellent work and scratch building for sure! The inside of your trailer looks much better than I usually get the outside!? I am really looking forward to seeing this one finished! I am glad that you are working on it again! Thank you for posting your progress! It is looking awesome! 1
CharlieBravo Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) chassis work + wiring. A most tedious job. I used a combination of Czech model fittings/ plus some 3D printed fittings. I also added chassis bolts using TichyTrain bolts. Edited July 27, 2024 by CharlieBravo 3
CharlieBravo Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) Reefer/trailer work. I originally modified the kit reefer side walls but ended up designing and printing new ThermoKing grill, side walls and doors to fit to the ERTL/AMT kit parts. Added some riveting to the trailer front wall to convert more accurately to a Brown trailer. Edited July 24, 2024 by CharlieBravo 3
CharlieBravo Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) I have also drawn and printed new hubs for the truck and trailer to fit onto the Revell parts. Aluminium wheels are from Jamie Rahmoeller. Edited July 24, 2024 by CharlieBravo 3
CharlieBravo Posted July 24, 2024 Author Posted July 24, 2024 The Trailer chassis is a mixture - scratch built frame + Shapeways suspension, my printed hubs. Brake chambers from Revell Kenworth kit. 5
Rockford Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 So glad to see this back on the bench. Your attention to detail is impressive. I know what you mean about the plumbing, you begin to feel sorry that you started! It looks great though. 2
BK9300 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 I agree with Steve - the plumbing looks great - where do you get the different air valves you use? Great job on the trailer! 1

Great job on the trailer! The valves are from CTM form memory an the fittings are a mixture of CTM and generic ones I 3D printed. 1
