Peter Lombardo Posted September 4, 2010 Author Posted September 4, 2010 Curt, that is going to be wild....I love the brute power idea of the Allison engine. I can't wait to see this as it nears completion. Are you going with the Electric Blue color or something more subtle? Regardless, it should be pretty neat.

Not going with a blue color...trying not to confuse it with a Bugatti - just getting a few ideas from their design got my eyes set on a nice metallic green, a color I very rarely use
crazyjim Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 That's gonna be wild, Curt. Gotta keep watching your progress. My dual cowl is still in the box because I haven't the slightest idea on where to start.
sjordan2 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Speaking of the Bugatti Atlantic, Peter, could you duplicate the body shell from a Bburago 1/24 diecast metal kit?
pharr7226 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I love what you guys are doing with these projects. Curt the Allison is a fantastic idea. The frame work looks great. I can't wait to see it come together.

Speaking of the Bugatti Atlantic, Peter, could you duplicate the body shell from a Bburago 1/24 diecast metal kit? Skip, I will look into it. If I can do it, I will do it.

If I can do it, I will do it. I will be happy to mail you the kit with return postage if you're interested in looking at it. The biggest problem with the kit is the diecast body, which needs a lot of work that can't easily be done with metal, such as cutting the hood panels for folding over, and opening up the side mesh on the hood. With a Franklin Mint Atalante as a donor car, this can be killer. Please PM me at sjordan47@comcast.net if you're interested.
jeffs396 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I like where you're going with your Art Deco Curt, but get your own thread!
