Chuck Most Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Here's a fun way to dispose of leftover parts... take a spare '41 Chevy truck nose, '46 Chevy Sedan Delivery body, '57 IH pickup frame, a parts pack Pontiac 421 engine, and some other cast-off scraps, and you just might end up with something like this...
Jim Gibbons Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Another great build...I really like this one. Looks the the hood of the car you took the pictures on is your reference source for the weathering! What car is the 1:1? Looks like a resto project.
Chuck Most Posted August 28, 2010 Author Posted August 28, 2010 What car is the 1:1? Looks like a resto project. That would be my old '81 F-250, which will one day donate it's 4wd drivetrain to a less-rusty '94 cab and bed.
Dr. Cranky Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Rusty and cruddy, just the way we likes them!
John Teresi Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 Wow!!!......you really crank these builds out.......Great job my friend.

cruz Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Very cool but I can't hold the urge of sanding it and putting a nice glossy coat of paint on it....
george 53 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 SOMNAVAGUNCH,Chuckman, ANOTHER rusty crusty dusty killer!!!! Gonna hafta make my way up ta Ithaca an see these bad boys up close an personal like! THIS one REALLY takes the cake! GREAT combination of parts for a GREAT lookin model!( But I GOTTA agree with Cruz, it WOULD look good all nice an shiney!!!)
Chuck Most Posted August 30, 2010 Author Posted August 30, 2010 Marcos and George- this was originally going to be a shiny, pro-street model, but somewhere along the way plans got shifted! It was even going to have a full chassis and interior and everything! Meh- pretty sure I'll end up with another spare '41 front end and '46 panel body ONE of these days!
W-409 Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 This is very nice model, that weathering looks very nice! Beautiful!
