Raul_Perez Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 This is way too cool. 5th E is one of my faves. Thanks, Wayne!! Yeah...I watched the movie again today! Nice paint Raul, Hope to see this in the under glass and next saturday It might be done by then...either way, I'll bring it for you to see. Later,
Alyn Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 What a great break from the world of wheels! You picked the perfect body for this car vehicle. The Stude really lends itself well to the smooth sides and missing wheel openings. Cha-Ching. Another winner
Jantrix Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 This is great Raul. I've been kicking around the idea of using the Revell 49 Merc for something like this. Keep at it.
Rob Hall Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 This is great Raul. I've been kicking around the idea of using the Revell 49 Merc for something like this. Keep at it. Yea, the 49 Merc would look good as a wheel-less flying car..so would the Nash or Hudson from around '50 when they had the really low wheelwell openings...

I've been kicking around the idea of using the Revell 49 Merc for something like this. Keep at it. Actually, I started with the Revell '49 Merc first...but I only got as far as the conceptual work in PowerPoint. I was going to do a "cab-forward" design, but I never actually started cutting the body. Maybe I'll start on it next...
charlzrocks Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 That car is Super Green! Now all it needs is some decals advertising either "Gemeni Croquets" or "Phloston Paradise"!! (btw, is stud muffin really your middle name?)
John Teresi Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Raul.......this is going to be sweet!!!!!!!........can`t wait.
Raul_Perez Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 I really like that one!! Hmmm...where can I get the jet-like side pods without spending too much $$ ?? Thanks, Charles and John!! Chris Tucker was pretty wild in that movie, and yes, my middle name IS Stud Muffin! Later,

Clay Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 For some reason I wasn't watching this one any more. Any updates yet Raul?
Ryan S. Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 This is great. Fantastic concept and amazing execution. Well done. Can't wait to see this finished. I've got to watch this movie again now too!
Raul_Perez Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 For some reason I wasn't watching this one any more. Any updates yet Raul? It's almost done...I'm working on it during commercials while we're watching America's Got Talent... This is great. Fantastic concept and amazing execution. Well done. Can't wait to see this finished. I've got to watch this movie again now too! Thanks, Ryan!! Yeah...I watched the movie again yesterday. Check the 5th Element folder on my Fotki site for a few cool cityscape pics from the special effects DVD that came with the movie. There's a picture of the hover craft repair center that I don't think appears in the movie. Later,
Raul_Perez Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 This one is about 95% done. I still need to add the headlight lenses, make a new hinge for the hood, finish the detail on the bottom and give it one last cleanup. The overall look is exactly what I was looking for when I started this quick fill in project. Any guesses on what the plate stands for? Yeah...the "KD" portion is pretty easy... The Vette interior really helps sell the 2 seater concept for this build. The engine bay is a little more spartan than I wanted, but the few information plaques help add a bit of color and detail to the look under the hood. This one should be "Under Glass" tomorrow evening...unless I get a bit lazy and put it off until Thursday or Friday... Later,

LAone Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 looks great. like everything about it. one of a kind. as for the plate number, it's the year that they are in. pretty much when leeloo was "reborn" my fav movie, watch it every time it comes on tv..
Raul_Perez Posted September 8, 2010 Author Posted September 8, 2010 Wow, I am loving this one. Great idea and execution. Keep it going. Thanks, Virgil!! I thought of weathering it, but the 2nd concept for the car was that this was something given to Korben as a gift after he helped save the world looks great. like everything about it. one of a kind. as for the plate number, it's the year that they are in. pretty much when leeloo was "reborn" my fav movie, watch it every time it comes on tv..
