Sorry I beat you to it Rommel, any tips or ideas are welcome.

Oh man that thing looks awesome back there !!! Is it going to have engine detail or is it going to be a curbside ? Either way its going to look wicked

I'm working on an LS9 for this as well as full engine bay detail.

Thanks all.

Sweet !!! How about the one out of the ZR1 ?

I have been wondering, what is that stuff you used to make the Deffuser? I am looking for something like this to build the Hood scoop I want.

Great work, Steve. You really know how to translate your ideas into reality.

This is well on it's way to becoming the best version of the new generation Camaro yet. That's a title I'm sure you'll own for quite a while.

The Artist that rendered that illustration is Bo Zolland. His stuff is awesome!! Do searches for Viztech and Bo Zolland for an overload!

I LOVE your build so far. Very nice scratch building and attention to detail!

Here are some of his other illustrations:

Thanks Alyn, the lines of the new Camaro are already beautiful, I just hope that what I'm doing to it doesn't take away from that.

Tim, yes this Viztech stuff is awesome, he has a ton of innovative ideas on his site, a modeler could get allot of inspiration and build ideas from there.

I actually debated over whether or not to do this Camaro I'm doing or the Challenger you showed since I have the new Challenger kit already, in the end I decided on the Camaro, I still may build the Challenger in the future.

Thanks for your encouragement.

David, here is what I use for all of my scratchbuilding sheet plastic needs, I used this on the hood cowl, my intercooler as well as the diffuser.

you can find these everywhere, Walmart, your local hardware store.

These specific signs I'm showing are of two different thickness.

I don't know the exact measurements but the black and white ones are about 1 milometer thick and the red and white are even thinner.

They are a great inexpensive alternative to Evergreen or Plastruct sheet styrene, and are just as useful.

Thanks for the info, I will try it :D . And by the way, Excellent job! I can't wait to see this one get finished.

I tried it! It worked, though not absolutely perfect but it did work. I will be posting what I have done in the " Under The Glass" forum when I am finished with this project.

Yup - Nick - We'll meet someday.

If you see a brownish, four-door Acura Integra with a DC, a Monster, and a SCCA sticker in the back window - flag me down!

I'm just amazed at how distracted and busy I get and totally forget to try and make it to a CPMCC meeting.

One of these days!

Steve,

This some some really great craftsmanship! You should make RTV molds of the parts you make, cast the parts, and sell a kit to build a Camaro like this! (so other less talented modelers [like me] could build something like this!) ;);)

Steve, that engine is great!!!! It would make a terrific presentation model on its own. The fine details are beautiful. The entire car is impressive, but the motor really takes this to another level......very cool. I have a couple of Camaro's laying around...I just may have to build something like this because yours is so killer, I want one too. ;) ;)

Steve

Where did you get the racing parts from? The gauge and switch panel look really good. I could use something like that.
