george 53 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Just saw this again, and let me tell you, NO WAY does the original 70 Charger COMPARE with the Missing Link kit! I have them BOTH now, and the ML kit is STATE of the ART! The original 70 kit is an ORIGINAL 70 kit, 50 yr old Technology! The ML body is taken from the newer REVELL KIT, SO IT is a much nicer looking body. The ML kit is perfect, the original 70 MPC kit has dimples in the upper rear quarters, near the ends, between the rear wheelwells and rear bumper. which are ALSO in their 68 AND 69 Charger kits!(I checked) which MUST be filled to get the nice smoothness of the Revell/ML kit. It goes for 70 bucks, comes with TWO optional grilles/taillight panel, stock or R/T versions and complete interior, and hood. All the chrome parts are VERY nicely plated and it fits the Revell kit LIKE A GLOVE!!! GREAT kit for the price! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!
satterwhite78 Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 (edited) Missing Link 70 Charger + MM 1843M Star Spangled Blue = Would/Will definitely buy any product from Missing Link. So glad they give you the option of base/ R/T version. By using the Revell Charger kit for a donor, you get a better detail chassis and interior than if you were using the AMT Charger. A Difference of Night and Day between the two! Chuck Edited October 16, 2013 by satterwhite78
om617 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 Sure look nice. What are the most visual diffrence between the R/T and base version?
kevin Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 the r/t has r/t emblems front & rear & side scoops 1 LEFT!
KingSix Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 our kit comes with chrome & can be a BASE or an R/T, it mastered from a Revell 1969 charger for better chassis & engine detail You need to fix your website, it's pretty screwed up ...
kevin Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 there really isnt that much wrong with it...the parts page & gallery arent put up yet. Ebayers are buying my parts everyday
KingSix Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 everytime I click on "product" it goes to a page with no info. link for your eBay page ?
kevin Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 strange try hitting the refresh button, all that was updated months ago, my ebay handle is member3664890 & the store is missing link resin cast model cars see if that helps kevin
gtx6970 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 No dis-respect to Kevin at Missing link. BUT, the 2 scallops in the doors on the revell kit are no where near correct compared to the original mpc and/or the actual car (trust me I have a 1/1 1969 charger in the shop now)
Mike Kucaba Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Isn't that point moot if you build as the RT? The scallops are covered by the scoops?
gtx6970 Posted October 18, 2013 Posted October 18, 2013 Isn't that point moot if you build as the RT? The scallops are covered by the scoops? No, I am referring to the 2 smaller scoops on the doors of every 1968-1970 charger Not the single large scoop on 1970 Charger R/T only
Bob Ellis Posted October 26, 2013 Posted October 26, 2013 I think the point is; if you want a 1970 charger, the Missing Link option is very good and most will build an RT which covers the Revell scallops, I think. The comment about the Revell Charger scallops is accurate. They are too heavy. But, it is, what it is. Chasing down MPC originals is expensive and probably not that important in the big picture. Can you sand or polish down the Revell scallops to reduce their bold appearance?
Yahshu Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 SOLD OUT!!! at missing link Glad I got mine when I did, top quality product Kevin, I'll get it built.....................one day, LOL.
om617 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 I had to give up because several of the buttons dont work. Also, the international order button was dead.
