vizio93 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Here is the Lindberg 1934 Ford Pickup. It is most likely one of my favorite kits. I channeled it, put the engine from a 2008 Mustang GT500KR, and added wheels from an old nascar kit to it. Here are some pics: Well its been at least a year in the making, off and on, off and on ... its done Thanks for looking !!!
DRG Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Another one of my favorite models. Seems I like the old ones best. Really good job on this one, I like it.
Terry Sumner Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Cool model! The 34 pickup is one of my old favorites too. Just don't drive this one on the road though...that radiator grill looks like it will hit on a one inch bump!
vizio93 Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Thanks guys, Terry the grill wouldn't be the only reason not to drive this truck. The rear axle is sitting on the frame rails so you would feel every one inch bump on the road :D Thanks again
Terry Sumner Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Yeah...like riding a harley with a hardtail!
Bernard Kron Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I dig the thoroughly modern look of this build - breaks all the "traditional" rules. I especially like the motor and the underslung appearance of the chassis rails in front of the firewall. :D
Jantrix Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Oh man. Is it too late to take those wheels off and sand that mold seam off the tires? All that good work and those seams stick out like a sore thumb.
sobpinstriping Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I like it, but rat rod is a dirty word. I agree you should sand that seam off of the tires, other than that it looks good cheers mat
vizio93 Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Looks Great Billy!! Thanks Mike, it was your 34' that made me want to build one so badly. Oh man. Is it too late to take those wheels off and sand that mold seam off the tires? All that good work and those seams stick out like a sore thumb. Yeah I need to sand 'em down, thanks for reminding me man.
vizio93 Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 I like it, but rat rod is a dirty word. I agree you should sand that seam off of the tires, other than that it looks good cheers mat I guess ya could call it a Slammed Hot rod , maybe ? I dunno ? Or the rich man's Rat rod Thanks
jeffs396 Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Very cool Billy! An original rendition for sure!
exesivefire Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I love the look, not even done with my 34, and you got me already wanting to build another.
RodneyBad Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Awesome looking Truck. I like the Nascar wheels on it. Super job... Very Cool..
Chuck Most Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Awesome! Kind of like a futuristic jalopy! (Note- I mean that in a good way!)
Modellpularn Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 It has a different style, now with the NASCAR wheels on it, attitude was the word..... way cool!
vizio93 Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 Thanks everybody for the kind words, it was a blast to build, and I encourage everyone to pick up one
aksarben Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Crazy! I love it, nice touch with the nascar wheels. I dig the engine too. Some great original ideas here. Steve
