About a year and a half ago, I was vending at our clubs' NNL, and one of my fellow club members (Dave Toups) had a 1966 Thunderbird Promo for sale at a reasonable price, that was thoroughly played with. It was scuffed up, the chrome either gouged or missing, and the left side "A" pillar was broken off.

I repaired the "A" pillar with various pieces of plastic rod, and I sanded and polished the body and glass until most of the scratches disappeared. Because I could not match the color of the plastic when I repaired the "A" pillar, I decided to "Bare Metal" the car. I detail washed the wheelcovers, grille, and tail lamp areas, as well as adding the appropriate body separation lines between the fenders, removing the small amount of "flash", and squaring up the body. A '66 T-Bird parts kit supplied the bumpers, grille, hood and fender ornaments. The interior was washed, and left as is.

Thanks Dave for another T-Bird for my collection.
