Joe Handley Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Well Guys, I actually finished one......and in barely over one week's time I decided when I first bought it to eliminate the 1/4 glass then as I was doing the initial paint work to leave out the hood scoop grills and foil the car in a way to make it look more like the '70 Challengers than these already do. Now I may have to pick up that Revell 1/25 '70 Challenger to build as a compliment to this one
Jantrix Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Love the chrome work and the color. Nice work.
charlie8575 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Looks good, Joe. I'm starting to like my idea of doing one of those in a custom color scheme. Looks like a nice kit, too. Charlie Larkin
Joe Handley Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 Thanks Charlie! It's funny how you mention the custom color thing though. A couple months back my kid sister (who currently owns a 3.5 V-6 Charger ) got a message from Dodge via Facebook about the Furious Fuchsia Challengers and had gotten into a conversation with another member of our gym who recently bought a SRT8 Charger Super Bee (which is nearly identical to the Lindberg Box Art car ) about this message and how she wanted one now. I mentioned to him Monday or Tuesday about the HTU Model Contest so he brought by a Tamiya Supra (very nicely done, BTW!) for the contest. After seeing the above Challenger, he decided to buy the Revell SRT8 kit and paint it that pearl pink from the One Coat line to see how well it will turn out for him!
MyBradKeselowski Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Love the color ! ! ! Is it mopar color?
Joe Handley Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 Love the color ! ! ! Is it mopar color? It's Testors' One Coat Lime Ice Lacquer, it does look close to Snake Skin Green though.
