Here we go..

I'm sorry I didn't read the rules fully about glueing the chassis together before pics were taken, but trust me this was all done last night, I just got the kit home on sunday. I bought the DD kit and I swapped the SD parts with a friend...who hadn't started on his either, please let me know if this is ok with you guys...as you can see in the box, there is nothing else started on...

Anyway this will be my version of a UPS truck, I'm also going to do a single headlight conversion and I've gotten in touch with Jamie to get some of his really nice 5 hole wheels. I'll either find a brown thats close to UPS brown or i'll take the easy route and order some from Scale Finishes.

Like I said, this will be a quickie build with detail...trying to keep the mods to a minimum since this is also being entered in my local club group build which ends in January

I think I'll do something with the Lindberg Dodge L-700. I keep getting them with the Lindberg trailer kits, so I should probably see how they build up. I have 3 weeks of leave to burn up in December so I will be getting a head start.

OK, I will be building an AMT Diamond Reo & AMT`s Livestock trailer. Picked them up from Ebay. Both open , complete & unstarted.

Matt, if I commit to doing this, it means that I have to finish my Mustang convert for my CBP AND the 1983 Levin for the Japanese car CBP first. I also need to get to work on my KW W900A and trailer.

IF, and that is a BIG IF, I do this........I have some Pete 359s that will collide to form one, and a 48' dropdeck airride that will tage along behind it (I will not mention the tarped load yet).

Great to have you, Dan. I just have one question, will the pumper be a load on the lowboy or a separate entry? No problem either way, I'm just trying to mark things as a load if that's what they will be built as.

Chris, just a word of advice here, have some small clamps and super glue on hand for the trailer. I'm not saying you will have the same problem, but my trailer that I'm building for another project had a slight warp in the roof. I used clamps to hold it down while the super glue set up.

If you do happen to have the same issue, clamp the roof down in position, and at the back of the trailer where the roof and meet, there will (or at least should) be a small square at the end of the joint between the wall and roof. Put a few drops of thin super glue in that square area and hold the trailer at about a 45 degree angle, with the rear facing up. This will allow the super glue to run the entire length of the trailer side to roof joint. If you want, I'll take a pic of the area I'm talking about for you.

I'll throw my name in here. I have a Paystar that I built the engine only. I'm collecting parts for my "Movin On" KW and I'm sending off my shipping fee for a Diamond Reo that's partly built and will be torn apart and rebuilt.

I'll get in the on the fun.I'll enter a revell western life pete 353,that will have proper 359 fenders,so it will be a 359.I just have parts that are still on the tree primed ,ready to sand and such,and interior parts painted.Will post pics.Not sure what I'll be doing to it yet,box stock would be a big change for me

List is updated! Wow 23 enrtrants just in the first day! I didn't even count how many trucks so far, but as long as everything goes like this, the MCM Truck Stop lot will be a full one!

Oh and just so everyone doesn't think I started this build without an idea of what I'm going to build, I do have an idea. I just have to get the big Ford finished for the CBP it is in on another site before I start this one! If I go with the present plan, which I probably will, I will probably have 10 kits involved with the build, that's counting the support vehicles and police escort for two heavy haulers.

I gotta have cars for the hauler...which is a mutant plan for a diorama depending on how into the idea I get.

I'd still like to join!! Not sure what to build, maybe a nice resin B model Mack on a DM 600 frame? Still trying to get the winter toys prepped for the season. I should be done by next week and start on this soon after.
