stevez Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I've got the 70 superbee recent re-issue from Round 2, and the old AMT 69 GTX pro street. Wonder if the 69 GTX chassis and interior would fit under the 70 superbee body? The bodies look similar in length with wheel wells in same position.
george 53 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Go right ahead, those parts interchange with NO problems.
kylexgore Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 be sure to post pics when ya get her finished!
mikelo Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I believe that is the same chassis that is in the prostreet 70. Mike
Chuck Most Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 That Chassis fits under the Bee, GTX, AND the '68 Roadrunner with very little effort, and if I recall, doesn't need too much fitting to work under a '74 GTX or '71 Charger, either.
stevez Posted November 9, 2010 Author Posted November 9, 2010 Thanks to all, last nite I fitted the GTX tubbed chassis and interior under the 70 superbee and the fit is most excellent. The GTX interior is OK, definitely a vast improvement over the superbee's tub interior.
Jantrix Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 (edited) That Chassis fits under the Bee, GTX, AND the '68 Roadrunner with very little effort, and if I recall, doesn't need too much fitting to work under a '74 GTX or '71 Charger, either. Add the MPC 67 Charger to that list also. Edited November 9, 2010 by Jantrix
johnbuzzed Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Does anyone know if that chassis will work with an original JoHan '69 Roadrunner body?
Chuck Most Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 Sheesh- I used one of these chassis under a '62 Bel Air bubbletop AND in a '66 Fairlane (after I grafted on the Fairlane's front subframe). It's a very versatile chassis, maybe second to the AMT '66 Nova Pro Street Chassis.
