Chuck Most Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 This was an older R&R casting, and by older I mean "decent quality". Still wasn't perfect, so I did what I could with it.
CrewDawg15 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I love it!!! I Need to get my hands on one of these. My first car was a '67 Custom 500... This car's cheaper brother
george 53 Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Got this same kit,Chuck. had it for about 6/7 years! it was FAR cheaper to get one from Ray, at 40 bucks than to pay 170 for the plastic kit, which I DID! There's one born every minute!
David G. Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 Nice one, Chuck! Clean & straight- good color choice We need more kits like this, I love these ol' 60's bombers.
impcon Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 That's a pretty car! I too have a soft spot for the bigger cars of the '60's and '70's. And it's nice to see a stock build of it - sweet job! AAAA+
davyou5 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Older, low Quality?, Doesn't matter I still like it allot . Excellent Job!
Brutalform Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Now there's a model you don't see too often....Very nice build. I have a soft spot for the older "big" Fords and Chevrolets.
Fe2o3 Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Very nice build, Chuck! I too like the stock build. Thanks for posting. The 67 XL was my very first car. I too have the old R&R casting just waiting for me to do something with it. This is a good inspiration to get me going. Really nice job!
Harry P. Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Beautiful car. My uncle had one "back in the day"... white with a red interior. I loved it!
Tony T Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Very nice...my parents bought a '67 Galaxie convertible back in the day...similar green to your model! I'd love to build a 67 convertible model of that car, and a fastback like yours to do the Grand National 67 that Wendell Scott drove. Kit makers, you listening?
carchub Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 I just LOVE old cars that are stock! And great place for taking pictures too =)
Dr. Cranky Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Did what you could? Heck, I think you did a perfect job. That looks like a perfect daily driver. No frills, just sound building.
