Guest Sickfish Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Well done Cat! Love those B-body Mopars Nice to see you build something non-Italian Lol! Cheers Cliffo
mikelo Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Looks good! Thank you for painting the silver around the inside of the bumper and the red on the rear as that is often overlooked. Mike
crowe-t Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) Felix, Great job on this Super Bee! The color is cool! Edited November 16, 2010 by crowe-t
Modellpularn Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 You're really cranking them out, or.....? Never seen the red around the trim out back before, not even in features in car mags.

Hi Hans, the 1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee does come with the red trimming on the back. Here's a picture of the actual car. Allot of people that restore them forget that the rear should have red trimming so that's why you don't seem them. But for those that properly restore the Coronet Super Bee, you will find that they have done the red trimming.
W-409 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Oh, great! I have the older release from this kit, it looks pretty good kit, I think. Was there any problems with building this kit? It looks nice, colour choice is perfect and the paintjob looks good on it. Decals are nicely in place. Nice tire texts, but it would be cool to see some engine, interior and chassis pictures also.
Guest Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 That Bee is awesome! Some underhood and chassis pics please!
davyou5 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Very Nice build! , You research well the materials for building acurrate models  Triple Cool!
diymirage Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Looks good! Thank you for painting the silver around the inside of the bumper and the red on the rear as that is often overlooked. Mike a second thing that is often overlooked is the panel between/below the headlights that should be body colour but since it is part of the chrome bumper a lot of people over look that when painting the model in fact (just to show your not the only one) if you were to look at the box art of the 71 pro street superbees you will see that even the modelers who build the model model overlooked it really, thats the only thing i can complain about that and the fect your building it the same colour as im building my RC version (body is from the same kit)

I didn't forget, I just didn't bother LOL. I had to build this kit for a club Contest and didn't have the time. So I decided to skip painting the front bumper as it should of been.
Harry P. Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 You had time for the thin red trim around the back, and the silver trim around the grille openings, but no time to paint the area between the front bumpers??? Come on...

Come on... I know... after I did those details, I put the model aside for a few weeks (work got in the way). Then I was in a rush to finish it off. Yeah, first thing that I should of done was paint the front bumper before any of the other parts. I just didn't think of that. Live and learn I guess.
High octane Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 You did a really nice job on that Super Bee as I just love Mopar B bodied cars.
voljeepx Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Looks good, Felix! B-body Mopars are way cool! Color is great, too!

It was applied as a body-colored applique. Nice build of a very cool car.
