Last Wednesday I got GT5  . I'd been putzing around with Prologue and GT4 all year waiting patiently. It was definitely worth the wait. The graphics are fantastic. There's a few new tracks- Nurburgring F1, Monza, Indianapolis (oval and road course), Daytona (oval and road course)and many of my favorite originals (though they dropped Apricot Hill, which was my favorite of the originals because of it's collection of decreasing- radius turns). We have Tsukuba, Cote D'Azure (say Monaco), Suzuka, Lemans 2005 and 2009 (with new runoff areas for 2009 and both with and without the bus stops on the Mulsanne), Nurburgring North Loop (my absolute favorite) and a whole slew of others. As for cars, well, Ferrari, Lambo, a bunch of Nascar stockers (43, 99, 14, 11, 20, 18, 24, 42, 48 and 88) and a really nice '71 Mach 1. I just need to finish the licenses so I can get into the more lucrative races. I love it...

Yeah i got this last Wednesday too, and I also was on gt4 for ages getting rather stressed with the due date being put back further and further. But as u said definatly worth the wait. I love the fact there's so many cars. Love it. Craig

Im super dissappointed. Its 85% carryover from GT4. Less tracks, more inclusion of duplicates and not enough variety. There around around 65 Skylines in the game. Menus are cumbersome, and there is significantly less content than in previous games. Definitely the most beautifully modeled of the series, just too much fluff. No longer the definitive automotive playground when compared to previous versions of the series. From what Ive seen, you dont need lisences to progress through the game. I guess I was expecting more game, not more Nissans.

Yea, I was also disapointed, and I don't even own a ps3 lol. But I have played it, and the variety of cars still sucks. I understand that it is a japanese based game, but come on. I have seen the car list, and there is so many cars that are pretty much duplicates it's not even funny. More variety would be great, like a gmc syclone?? That truck will keep up with ALOT of those cars in real life.

They need to wake up and understand there's alot more cars they should have done instead.

yeah this game got me pretty upset the lack of brake upgrades put it in the shelf and this whole stupid premium/standard car business shouldve been left off

There are Ferraris and Lamborghinis and a whole lot of other car companies in the game and you guys are complaining about 65 Skylines? I've bought so many cars I wanted that I am now actually having problem with cash for the required cars in the later races.

Yeah I got it over Thanksgiving break, and was able to get to level 7 before I came back to school. From what I hear, going higher than level 21 means the grinding begins, plus the fact that you need a level 24 car for a level 23 race. The are parts of the game I like (large number of cars, physics, graphics, karts, what little weather and day/night there is), however most of the game seems really half-assed. Doesn't help the Sony basically forced them to include 3D and Kinect support and probably forced them to get it out the door before Christmas.

I really liked the overall setup of GT4 and wish they could have kept it similar while adding the new features. And yeah it's great having some Ferraris and Lambos, but they barely added any other supercars. No new Astons? No new Bentleys? 1 new Maserati? No new RUFs? Hopefully they can get some patches together for the more glaring flaws.

To be honest, I was a bit let down coming from GT3 to GT4. I got over the magic number of cars in 3 and POOF! They all went away. Then, in four, the races were different, the setup was different, traction control was off on two player mode leading to some really squirly cars more akin to pinball than racing. But I still loved both the games. Even got the wheel so I could get past the license test with the friggin 190 on the Nurburg ring (I can drive, just not with two sticks and a couple of buttons...lol).

I haven't gotten GT5 yet, hopfully for Christmas, if not, shortly thereafter... I did play Prologue and loved it. Controls take some tweaking to get them akin to the way I drive. Imagry, I'm blown away so far, I'll see how gameplay goes.

I'm torinobradley on PSN in case your looking for another game friend.
