mrmike Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 This is my '71 GTX with a 440 6 Barrel. Painted with MCW Lucerne Blue Metallic and a white interior.
charlie8575 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I like it, Mike. Very nice combination and a really nice build. Charlie Larkin
mrmike Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Thanks Charlie! It came out better than I thought it would! Even with the warped body and chassis!
Space Cowboy Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Outstanding Mike a fantastic build. Another well detailed Mopar for the shelves..
davyou5 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Exceptional Build! Paint Job is almost perfect! Good to see more of these GTX's being built here! .
Airfilter Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Nice and clean job on this GTX. Good color choice. Pali
mikelo Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 That turned out really nice. I still love this color. You are going to make me break one of mine out and get building again. I wish I could right now. Mike
mrmike Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Thanks guys! I almost wish I didn't have to add the front and rear spoilers as this looked so good without them. I just love this color!
juergen Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hi ! great job on the gtx. i love the color and the rims !!! greets juergen
W-409 Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Ooh, nice and clean. As always! Paintjob is just perfect and that foiling work looks very good... Engine is very nicely detailed, as always. Nice job on it, can't find any mistakes. This kit is good, worth buying and building and you have built it very nicely.
imatt88 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Mike, Super job on the GTX! Where did you get the air cleaner decal? I have a Monogram '70 GTX on my rebuild/to do list, and I'm going to need decals for the engine compartment.. Is your from the kit, or aftermarket? Cheers, Ian
mrmike Posted December 4, 2010 Author Posted December 4, 2010 Thanks Ian! The decals came with the kit. Keith Marks makes a set for the '70 GTX but it does not include the 440+6 air cleaner decal. http://public.fotki.com/mofobow/plymouth/gtx/70_gtx/ You can contact Keith and ask for pricing and shipping. mofobow@hotmail.com
Peter Lombardo Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Mike, very nice build. A number of years ago I built that car and used the exact same color.....the only difference was I did a black interior. I think I like your white interior better....great job on a fun kit to do.
mrmike Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 Thank you Peter! This was a fun project inspite of the issues with it. I wish Revell would re-issue the Satellite version of this kit or as a Roadrunner!
cposada Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I love a stock look to an older car. They just look nice and clean that way. Very nice job! cposada...
mrmike Posted December 6, 2010 Author Posted December 6, 2010 Thank you Cory! I've always like the smooth styling of this car.
