jeffb Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 my daughter took my car and went to the gym. she was in there for 20 min. and some lowlife broke out the window, ransacked the car, and stole my kids purse which she put in the trunk. the cops said that punks watch gyms to see if women take purses into the gym. if they see them without one they break into the car. she didnt have any cash, but they got all her id. now, not only do i have to replace the glass, i have to stand guard on my house because they now have our address. ..merry christmas eh?

impcon Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) my son got his house robbed a few weeks ago. his pitbull just stood by and watched... yeah, badas dogs ferser... If I was a pitbull and the thieves had AK 47's, I'd just stand by and watch too.. Sorry to make light of a situation.. Seriously, at least you guys can still be friends with Mr. Smith & Mr. Wesson - here in Canada, we'd have to defend ourselves with a kitchen fork.. stinkin' gun control.. Railfreak78 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Sorry for the bad situation. It's crazy what people do and around the holidays to boot. One Christmas my wife and I were in a Target shopping for gifts and when we came out someone ruined my trunk lock trying to steal presents if there was any. Lucky there was only a big pack of paper for my daughter to draw on. They never popped it open just ruined the lock. I had to bend the metal around the lock to get into it. It just amazed me that people can act like this. I hope it gets better Jeff!
horsepower Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 my son got his house robbed a few weeks ago. his pitbull just stood by and watched... yeah, badas dogs ferser... If his dog is anything like ours, he probably showed them where the good stuff was hidden. A few years back someone broke into our daughters rental home that they were using for storage for stock that was left over from their store, & some of my good diecast. the alarm was going off when we got back hoe & their neighbors didn't see, or hear anything. The thieves got away with $12,000 in diecast alone, & the insurance would only pay $5,00 as they said it was a collection, & that's all they will cover in collectibles.
walt francis Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Jeff sometimes the world is an ugly place and we have to live and learn every day, crime is all around us and we just try to stay out of its way but sometimes it just finds us.
torinobradley Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Sorry to hear about your troubles. It sucks that these (insert appropriate explative) prey off of us hard working people. I can only hope karma is a real thing... A few years ago, someone broke into my truck to snag the radio. All told, that radio they probably sold for $20 cost me, the city, the insurance and everyone else involved over $5,000. The responding policeman asked if I saw them and I said "do you see a body?"
charlie8575 Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Sorry to hear of this, Jeff. I hope your family isn't endangered by this at all. Advise your daughter to alert the police so they can invalidate her old driver's license number and if she had any charge cards to call the issuers at once and make sure they're shut off. She should also alert her bank and ask them to monitor the account for any suspicious activity. Even if there was no bank account information (debit or ATM card, chequebook, etc.,) if a thief is sophisticated enough, they may still be able to get access to that information. Charlie Larkin
Chuck Most Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 That sucks, Jeff! Is it just me, or does this kind of stuff actually seem to pick up around Christmas time? Holiday cheer, my hiney!
Terror Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I keep a chainsaw in the bedroom.I don't like guns,Not messy enough!Plus I'm not good repairing dry wall.Just repaint and mop.
lordairgtar Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 If I was a pitbull and the thieves had AK 47's, I'd just stand by and watch too.. Sorry to make light of a situation.. Seriously, at least you guys can still be friends with Mr. Smith & Mr. Wesson - here in Canada, we'd have to defend ourselves with a kitchen fork.. stinkin' gun control.. According to some political forums I go on the Canadians all claim they have no crime. Only thing you need a gun for is the occasional moose. The US has crime because we own guns.
SuperStockAndy Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Sorry to hear that! Like everyone said, Smith & Wesson IS your best friend............ Merry Christmas
