'56 Ford Sedan Delivery / '40 Coupe Gassers

Dug these two outa' the stash this weekend. '40 coupe body had been primed/blacked long ago, rear fenders simulated fiberglass, running boards removed, and given up parts for other builds. Plan called for AMT blown Pontiac. Then I found the '39 Ford Olds engine and tacked on the Revell Anglia injector setup. Rear is a Mopar. Don't know from what kit. Front is from the Revell '30 Ford. Gonna be a "found" 60's Gasser in the process of being restored to "Nostalgis Gas" standards.

'56 Delivery has been around for a couple of years. First plan was a Pro Street. Then thought about some old service station "Rat". Ended up going "Gas" since it already had a chopped top. Planned a AMT '57 Ford injected Y block. After I got the body preped I kinda' hate to clutter up the body lines with injector tubes. May go with the AMT 'Shelby Mustang wedge with the high rise, and the dual carb setup from the '60 Starliner. Plain or teardrop hood. Color? Haven't decided. Maybe leave it primered with a little weathering. Big John front springs/tires/wheels. Some old funny car front axle with no drop. Seems a little high. May look for a dropped axle. Gotta raise the rear about 3 scale inches over the slicks. Anyway...if ya' got suggestions, fire away.

Is that the Jimmy Flintstone body? I got one of those, and didn't notice the chopped top until after i got home. Kinda dissapointed, but it's still a nice body. It looks good to me just like it is. don't open up those rear wells too much more, it looks good just like it is, stance and all, to me.<_<

Indeed the Flintsone body. Not a bad one to work with for the price. Got several, plus a '51 Chevy SD. '53 Ford SD.

Wheel/tire combo are Revell Willys...sometimes found on Ebay on the cheap from people who only use the body, then sell the rest of the parts.
